Maurice & Randy met around Jan. '04. It would take nearly a year and a half before the doors would open to allow them to work together on what is now X-ing (pronounced "Crossing")...
RANDY: "We started to write at the end of July 2005. Right from the start I knew that this had very little to do with us. The music that I write and the lyrics Maurice writes just fit. As a musician, you just know when you're in the right place."
MAURICE: "This project has been a long time coming. I always had the hunger, but I needed someone with Randy's drive to make it happen. We have the same vision-- to create music that makes people think-- and we've been blessed with a songwriting chemistry that isn't easy to find. Like Randy said, 'You just know.' I hope you enjoy our art as much as we do. God Bless."
What began as an acoustic rock duo of Maurice & Randy has since evolved into a full-fledged rock band. The addition of lead guitarist Dave Mercado (of Lazarus) and drummer Greg McDonnell (of Entropy) brought new life, energy, dimension, and power to an already well-received collection of songs, as well as co-writing new ones. In October '07, X-ing welcomed new bassist Richie Cluxton and guitarist Jesse Trimm to the fold. Also, the contributions of former bassist Christine Anasco cannot be overlooked.
X-ing is currently hard at work in the studio, recording their long-awaited debut CD, "The Road Less Traveled". Thank you all for your patience, prayers, support, and encouragement over the course of this journey. The time is near...
