I work a nine to five, Monday to Friday job. Yes, I'm one of those people. I don't want to be doing it forever, that's not the reason I spent ten grand on a Music Industry course (I have a Diploma of Music Industry (Technical Production), don't see myself using it though).
I love live music. Music in general, really. It's what I live for and, along with my family, the reason why I still live.
I'm a bit of a gig whore. In 2006, I managed to make it to 86 shows. Not the most economical addiction, but it keeps me happy (as all good addictions should).
I am a member of the band-stalker club. Band stalking is an art. It doesn't necessarily mean you stalk members of the bands. Just stalk their live shows to interstate-levels. These bands include, but are not limited to:- Live, Epicure, End Of Fashion, The Cloud Room, Placebo, The Inches, Dukes Of Windsor and Expatriate.
I'm a wannabe music photographer (isn't everybody?). I have a photo-MySpace here , because I'm a pretentious fuckwit. You should probably add it to your friends list, particularly if we have musical interests in common and you like looking at pretty band people, because 90% of the time I take Kameraa and either Lensie or Lensley (you'll notice that I pulled out all stops to name them) with me to shows I go to.
I'm packing up my shit and moving to Melbourne in April 2008 (don't tell my boss). I'm mainly going over because although Adelaide rules and the music scene isn't as bad as you think, Melbourne is like Adelaide but ten-fold. My head is probably going to explode, but for all the right reasons. Plus, I won't have to drive over to Melbourne every second weekend for awesome gigs - even with increased costs of living, etc, I'll probably end up saving money anyway.
