Isaac Howlett Band

London-based power trio led by Isaac Howlett

About Me

Biography

Since their legendary first gig at Fiddler’s Elbow, Kentish Town in early 2007, when the Sunday night punters got up and danced en masse, the Isaac Howlett Band have rapidly gained notoriety among audiences on the London live circuit for their unique sound and captivating presence. Setting themselves firmly aside from the rest of the pack, singer/songwriter Isaac Howlett (vocals/guitar) and his talented band (ex-Paul Weller bassist Dave Foster and drummer Jon Brooker) rarely fail to impress with their unique, no-nonsense acoustic rock.

Press

' Isaac Howlett really is astonishingly good. He writes songs awash with goosebumps, evoking love and London in a few phrases like a great poet or novelist. The acoustic ballads are immediate and mystical. The anthems are Joshua Tree-size; his voice could cross continents. Here's a true original, a kindred spirit to Mike Scott, William Blake and Iain Sinclair, and just as singular as that sounds.' The Mag www.the-mag.co.uk
'Reminiscent of a more melancholy James at their most honest, or an 'Automatic'-era R.E.M., Isaac Howlett creates a vivid picture of life for those who are lost and yet-to-be-found in the cold light of the 21st century.' SUPERSWEET www.supersweet.org
‘One of the finest young singer/songwriters on the London scene’ Charlie Ashcroft, Lowslung.
‘…he still stands out a mile from anyone else on the scene.’ Live Nights London
