About Me

I love music. And I love many different styles. I can be very passionate about a band. Suede, Brett Anderson, We Are Scientists and Luxembourg are my all time favourite bands/musicians.
And, of course, I love my son. Ruben is the sweetest kid (what else would I say, right?). You can see pictures of him in my photo albums. He already is a fan of W.A.S. which is great, because I can/even have to listen to We Are Scientists A LOT. :o)

Ruben with a new rendition "Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt" by We Are Scientists, now that he is 3 years old. If you listen closely you hear him starting with the second verse. :o))

Check out his other songs on my youtube-account http://www.youtube.com/user/ilovesuede if you like. ;o)
I also uploaded some cute pics of him onto my new flickr-account. There are some cute photos. :o) http://www.flickr.com/photos/kerstin-astrogirl/

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ok, I met them a few times already, but I can't get enough of them. I love We Are Scientists.

Thank you, Adrian, for those beautiful gifs. :o)

And now a "small" selection of songs I love.

I just got into them very recently. Damn me. missed so much. but I LOVE The Streets now. This is such a lovely song and video. gives me goosebumps.

Beautiful song this is. From "Om Shanti Om".

New Song by Arctic Monkeys. "Crying Lighting". It's awesome

I'm very fond of The Melting Ice Caps and Jonny Cola & The A-Grades. I wish I could see them live one day. Both are follow-up bands from the former, brilliant Luxembourg. For nostalgic reasons: a Luxembourg song which I love immensely. You should check it out. It's beautiful.

Luxembourg – Changing Trains

And if you liked this, you might like the next one. ;o)

The Melting Ice Caps – Warm Weather

And this is David Shah's other project. Together with Aug Stone they are "The Soft Close-Ups". They write the mose beautiful, perfect songs together. And finally uploaded a few clips on youtube. Awww...... *sigh*

We Are Scientists live in Cologne on 19/9/08. A perfect gig, a perfect day. *sigh*

Next to the fabulous Melting Ice Caps (David's project) there are super-cool Jonny Cola & the A-Grades. And they just released their great debut single with a cool video. Enjoy.

These two are hilarious. Besides their music, of course, I love their humour. Plus, they are unbelievably lovely.

From WAS' Imeem account. "A Day off in Prague". Chris really proves to be a great guide. Brilliant as ever.

A perfect example of Chris' awesome bass playing. LOVE. IT. God, he is so good! And a superhero!

Stage banter in Leipzig, 5.5.2008. Chris comes up with a German word for dancing dirty. :o)

Webisode 1. From We Are Scientists. Can it get any better? I don't think so, but I'm sure they will think of something.

I just really discovered the Mystery Jets. I know, I'm really late. should've listened to WAS earlier. ;o) *shame on me*. but they're brilliant. I love this song.

And the ingenious "Bloodbeat" by Patrick Wolf

One of my favourite songs, "Ye Tara, Wo Tara" from the movie "Swades"

Beautiful song. Cool movie. "Flower of Carnage" from "Lady Snowblood" sung by Meiko Kaji.

one of my favourite funny film scenes. "Superbad" with Michael Cera.

I just found out.Joaquin Phoenix quit acting! Ok, some of you might think I'm over-dramatizing, but I really think this is a tragedy. He was/is an awesome actor and I always thought he will be HUUUGE ...
