Here's My Bio:Chicago native and dynamic and Super DJ Johnny Price, aka "Mix-Master DJ Smoke-Master J." and Battle/ Turntablist DJ "J.P. GUNNz" is definitely a "master" in the game of making you dance... For over 18 years as a high-level, party-rocking DJ, Johnny has filled the dancefloors of various music festivals, fraternity and sorority parties and nightclubs not only in Chicago and surrounding areas, but in other parts of the world as well, leaving the same, successful results. A 2007 Skribble-Jam Finalist, a 2007 Hott Mixx Chicago Turntablist DJ Battle Champion. A 2006 Dakotas' Bar: "Battle of the Chicago DJs" Club-Mix DJ Battle Grand Finalist (3rd Place in the City out of 32 Contestants). He is also a 2006 DMC N.W. Regional Finalist/Runner-Up {SECOND PLACE} (Seattle, Washington), A 2005 Cincinatti DMC Regional Runner-Up, a 2004 Oregon "turntablist-DJ" champion and a 2003 Chicago Air Jamaica Airlines "Mix-Master / Turntablist-DJ" champion, and one of the top turntablist DJs in Illinois and the Midwest, Johnny is pushing his turntable skills to a whole new level. He has also pleased the crowds of well-known Chicago haunts such as: Eddie Rockets, Aurora's Rollin' On The River, The Galaxy Nightclub, Hamilton's, Spy Bar, The Buzz, The Beaumont, Sluggers, Cubby Bear, Excalibur, Deja Vu, Vision Nightclub, Level Nightclub, The Loft Nightclub, and the Leg Room. You can catch Johnny on Fridays @ DEJA VU Nightclub in Chicago in the Upstairs "2-D" room. You can also catch him @ The LEGROOM NIGHTCLUB on Saturdays, and every other Sundays.. You can also catch J.P. @ DICK'S RIVER ROADHOUSE in Mt. Prospect on Thursdays. In the Pacific Northwest, Johnny pleased the crowds of Portland, Oregon's Crystal Ballroom, Metropolis, Greek Taverna, Mississippi Studios, and Hood River, Oregon's Savino's Lounge. This professional selector had guest announcer and guest mix-master DJ spots on local, Chicago radio stations WCRX and Energy 88.7, WLUW. He hosted an underground club/ lounge music show on RADIO TIERRA, a local radio station in Hood River, Oregon. He also rocked the dance floors and had resident DJ positions in various nightclubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. He also had mix-master DJ positions in two radio stations in Japan. His motto is, "Do what you love and the money will follow. Never let anyone keep ya down. Never give up. There are no obstacles. You can do whatever you set your mind to. Success is the Best Revenge." An avid competitor in the battle dj circuit, he is a current participant, finalist, and winner in local DJ battles such as the Guitar Center Spin-Offs, DMC battles, and any other Vinyl Kombat dj battle. Johnny is pushing his top-notch cutting, scratching, and trick-mixing skills to the highest level as he combines his varsity-level party-rocking skills with the precision, timing, and creativity of a high-level battle-mix-master turntablist dj on the ones and twos. Wherever there is a DJ Competition, chances are certain that Johnny will be there ready to compete. Having appeared on TV as a regular "scratch DJ" on the JENNY JONES SHOW and displayed his turntable artistry in a TV documentary on FOX NEWS, and appeared as a regular guest-turntablist DJ on the PHAT SHOW, a local, Portland, Oregon-based Underground Hip-Hop music cable show, Johnny's funky, unique, and technical "Busy Skillz Style" make him, on the same level, as much fun to watch as to listen to. If you're not dancing, just chill back and watch him spin and have your mind blown. Don't blink, he's incredibly, rhythmically fast with his hands and body. Johnny fills the room with incense and unmatchable energy when he spins his brand of 'Ol Skool and New Skool Hip-Hop, Soul, Breakbeat, Progressive/ Club Dance, Global Underground House, Electronic, Trance, and World Lounge varieties. Your nights will be totally amped with the "World-Class" talents of Super DJ Johnny Price. Johnny's unique style has even influenced the youngest of djs. He is the father of the WORLD'S YOUNGEST TURNTABLIST, DJ A-KIDD, who started battle-deejaying @ the tender age of 3 years old and who now, at 6 years old, continues to shock the world by showcasing his developing talents @ various dj battles and music festivals.
