About Me

Hello world!!!!My entertainment name is in the streets is "Mr.Tim!!!" and my TV name is "Timchan!!!".Long ago here in Fukuoka, I used to rap and sing live in the live houses all over Tenjin, Fukuoka central and in Osaka, Japan. I even released two original music cds. I was fortunate to work with LOVE FM (www.lovefm.co.jp), one of Kyushu's BIGGEST radio stations involving foreigners from all around the world. Then after LOVE FM and due to my Japanese language ability, I was on TNC TV, a syndicated family-TV show called "SORA TOBU HIYOKO". I did an English corner for them. After that I was truly BLESSED to appear on TV with SPACE WORLD'S program, "ASO LUCKY PLUS", TV Q. Both TV stations helped me in my current business as a cutting-edge personality, both for children and adults.Today, I am friends with Tenjin FM radio station (www.freewave777.com) as their "Funky" DJ. I do stuff that only we foreigners, especially foreigners from NY do. I think, in a very fortunate if not unique situation. The show is the BOMB and I can play what whatever music I like! My Interests

I LOVE working with CHILDREN'S music! It's really how I make my living here in Japan. I love learning from other musicians how to look and understand other artists. I also love using the latest computer software to edit & arrange sound/music files to create new sounds for myself and my radio audience. The radio jingles I use on radio are usually my own (Yeah GO ACID PRO!!!)

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet more non R&B & hiphop artist. Though I have had many chances to meet some majors (Kevin Lyttle, Wayne Wonder, Kid Capri ect), there are many non R&B/reggaed artists that my listener audience like listening to. For example Earth, Wind & Fire, Billy Joel. I'm looking for a chance to interview them as well, live on air! By the way, I'm looking forward to meeting brother SPEECH!! Of Arrested Development this December 2007!

Music:

As a radio DJ, born & raised in NY, I LOVE IT ALL!!! Especially the music that reflects living in NY. On FREEWAVE radio, Tenjin FM radio (www.freewave777.com), I've played all music types and genres particularly what WBLS radio (www.wbls.com) play in NY. BLS lists the old-school artists everyweek on their page. Most of which is a weekly education for me. And the artists sound beautiful!

Movies:

I HATE the violence in the American movies, but I love the humanity of Robin Williams in "What Dreams May Come", Brad Pitt's "Legends of the Fall" and such movies that help us to see ourselves.

Television:

Speaking of ourselves, I would have to say that the best TV drama I've seen to this day is ABC's LOST. WOW!!! What a journey into our own lives through tv!

Books:

I've read the Illiad, Odyssey, most of Plato and Aristotle's work, the Bible, Liberation Theology and lots of Japanese living in Fukuoka, Japan. Perhaps the books I've benefited from most are "The Oxford-Handbook for Teaching ESL" and "What's Going On In There? A medical exploration into the first 5 years of childhood developement".

Heroes:

My dad, Jesus, Martin King, Malcom X, Muhammed Ali, Babe Ruth, Ghandi, Sista Teresa and my son, Tynell Timothy Dickens who is now a US Marine! Son, your dad is PROUD of you boooyyiii!!!!!!!
