Listen to your heartbeat and dance freely...

About Me

I love my family and being an aunt to my adorable nephew! As a child, I lived abroad until I was almost five and then mainly grew up in the Wash, DC area. I had fun studying in Paris for a semester in college. I love to travel, laugh, dance and feel alive! Turn ons: intellect, wit, warm smiles, men who aren't afraid to wear light pink (every once-in-a-while), self-confidence, creativity, charitable people, spirituality and the endless journey to understand it for ourselves. Turn offs: spitefulness, smoking, ethnocentrism, arrogance. Ultimately, we are all just human...and how great is that?

My Interests

Playful spirits, film, theatre, dancing, traveling, working out, playing sports, yoga, experiencing new cultures, understanding new languages, hiking, wrestling w/my nephew, helping charities (Comfort Zone Camp among them), savoring chocolate, intimate conversations, sushi, nature, marshmallows...oh yeah, and I have a new tennis racket that I need to break-in.

I'd like to meet:

Compassionate, intelligent, active people with a great sense of humor, who are inquisitive about the world -- various cultures, philosophies, foods, and the outdoors. If they were alive, Jack Lemmon, Constanza and Wolfie Mozart, and Suzanne Valadon. If you have any interest in befriending me, please at least write me an e-mail first. Thank you!

Music:

So many types -- from Top 40 to hip-hop (anything w/a great beat for dancing) to classical...the RENT soundtrack (stage and film versions), Etta James (love her), Mozart, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Damien Rice, U2, Black Eyed Peas and much more.

Movies:

The Shawshank Redemption!, The Princess Bride, The Notebook, Rent, Finding Neverland, Sixteen Candles, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Aladdin, In America, The Professional, Lucas, Coming to America, Monsters Inc., Singing in the Rain, Point Break, Dead Poet's Society, Stand By Me, Dodgeball

Television:

When I get to watch it -- Sopranos, Sex and the City, Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, The Discovery Channel medical shows, The Daily Show and any shows in which either my friends or I have acted.

Books:

Love THE HARP OF BURMA, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, THE CELESTINE PROPHECY...quotes from the Tao....

Heroes:

People who make (or made) the world a better place in which to live, among them: Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and my family. Dame Judi Dench because she is an artist who knows how to use our craft in its greatest form; she touches so many people's lives.
