Jerry

Jerry grew up in south Chicago , running around seeing musicians like Stevie Winwood, Jon Luc Ponty, Freddie Hubbard, Minnie Ripperton, Jan Hammer, Larry Coryell, McCoy Tyner, Ramsey Lewis, and Oscar Peterson playing in local bars throughout the city of Chicago.He became his south Chicago suburbs' high school piano accompanist for choir after only one year of lessons and played in state piano competitions, a high school jazz band, and local rock bands. Jerry later went on and studied music at Indiana University(IU)with the legendary jazz trombonist Dave Baker , who played with Quincy Jones, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Lionel Hampton and others. Later, Jerry studied classical music for six years with Linda Morales (M.A Degree Julliard School of Music) who occasionally played with the St. Louis Symphony. Jerry has also played keyboards for latin bands, standard jazz bands, and musicals such as "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" and "Little Shop of Horrors." For the year 2005 Christmas season, Jerry arranged and composed much of the music for an original play called "The Office Party" with the Sacramento Geery Theatre SacActors. Most recently, Jerry has spent the last couple years playing keyboards for a Santana Tribute Band and studying latin jazz with a prominent latin recording artist in San Francisco. Jerry has performed at the Meadowview Jazz Festival, Cal Expo Festival de Familia, Carnaval in San Francisco, at the Empire Theatre in Stockton, and for many private parties and parks in the local Sacramento area.
