Television:
T.V. is mostly dead nowadays due to all the trash people who watch the trash t.v. and the rest of us are stuck with mostly nothing worth watching. But Adult Swim is pretty damn good, Drawn together, Southpark, can you see where I am going with this? It is really sad when the only decent entertainment on the telly is Adult political cartoons that are not afraid to trash the ones who need to be trashed. Oh and I like MASH, King of Queens, History Channel, Discovery Channel. Oh and Aqua Teen Hunger Force rules.
Books:
Too many to list here, but Ayn Rand, Stephen King, ultra-violent magazine(this zine is awesome if you are into horror movie reviews), and comic books cover it pretty well. Almost anything on International Relations, Philosophy, Psychology, and history are wonderful. Stranger in a strange land, Perfume, Rotten (no blacks, no dogs, no irish), Wealth of Nations.
Heroes:
People who overcome addiction and strive to perfect thier character; People who have suffered horrible accidents and have the spirit and strength to live and fight another day until they achieve their goals; Single mothers raising children on thier own; Couples that work things out and have the courage to stay together; Those who help and give and never ask for anything in return other than friendship and honesty; People who can admit they are fallible and learn from thier mistakes; Any man who turns his life around, steps up to the plate and becomes the father all should strive to be; those who are born with severe problems and can still get through life and bring joy to others with thier risilence and spirit; and then I have mentors and people I respect immensly.
