About Me

We are Synapse Films, a Novi, MI based DVD label distributed through Ryko. Started by Don May, Jr. (born and raised in Lincoln, IL) and Jerry Chandler (born and raised somewhere in Michigan), Synapse is the coolest indie-DVD label around... and we've been here since the beginning of the DVD revolution. We've been releasing films since 1997. We care about putting out the best DVDs possible with the finest transfers and coolest supplements and we're extremely proud of all of our titles. Never dominated and always duplicated, Synapse Films was hailed as "the Criterion of Cult", well before other DVD companies have claimed the same phrase about themselves (we have proof, so there)!
