Jam Jah Sound

Birmingham's numba one Reggae Sound

About Me

Jam Jah Sound
Jam Jah Sound started as a regular Monday night pub ting at the Bull's Head, Moseley, Birmingham in 2001. From then to now it has built up, incorporating into the Friendly Fire Family and performing as a live act.
Alongside a tight selection of roots and dancehall vinyl, we have live percussion and live singers (from the friendly fire crew), keeping an authentic yet cutting edge reggae spirit which will satisfy the old time reggae enthusiasts as well as the newcomers.
We have been the opening act of Shambala Festival's Main Stage for the past 3 years, have performed alongside Horace Andy, Overproof Soundsystem, King Earthquake, Aba Shanti, DJ Derek, Dub Dadda, Jibbering Records, YT, Makating, Winston "sugarcane" Fergus to name just a few...Jam Jah Sound is part of the Friendly Fire Crew, and has produced three mixtapes which you can listen to on www.friendlyfiremusic.com (vol3 is available from www.Jibbering.co.uk)
UPCOMING EVENTS:
The Friendly Fire Sessions are hosted every third friday of the month at The Hare and Hounds, presenting live UK reggae bands, established and upcoming, with support by the Jam Jah Sound.
NEXT EVENT:
DADDY FREDDY live on JAM JAH, ft the Friendly Fire crew
