This is a quote from the movie Excalibur. For my purposes, I have modified it a bit, and my motto is- "When a man lies he murders some part of himself." I think this is a trueism! and I have always and will always live by it.Where to begin? I live my life by the code of the chivalric knight of long ago. Sounds corny no? I really I do. I am happiest when I am making others happy. I have been involved in the Oklahoma Scottish Games & Gathering for 10 years serving last as the Vice Chairman. This experience greatly enriched my life. It is exilerant to look out and see 12,000 people enjoying themselves because of your hard work and dedication! I made countless friends, met my X wife, and had a great time. The feeling when you look around you and see 12,000 happy people surrounding you, and they are there because of the work you have done. This feeling is unlike any other, it wells up inside you and gives you such pride and feeling of accomplishment. I have two wonderful kids I love very much. They have been my life preserver.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I also am the founder of Mini-Con, Tulsa's Japanese animation convention. Mini-Con is a dream I made come true! The last Mini-Con was ..4 and about 1100 people attended. Mini-Con is different than the Scottish adventures, but not less fullfilling, even more because it was conceptualized, and brought to life by me!!!!!!!!!!! The beauty that is found in everyday life is just amazing to me, you can find beauty if you look for it.I enjoy collecting medieval arms and armour, things Scottish, English and Celtic, dragons and fantasy. Attending Renaissance Fairs and similar events. Putting back a few pints with my kilted pals. I enjoy the area lakes and camping, boating, and fishing. I get into nature, gardening, lanscaping, I built a beautiful Koi pond with 8' stream and 3 waterfalls, and beautiful Koi of course.I enjoy being me. I enjoy my friends. I enjoy seeing people happy. I enjoy making people happy. If you are not happy with who you are, then how can you make others happy?????????I would like to meet new local friends. New people to hang out with. Friends to go out with, movies, concerts, bars, renn faires, road trips etc... I do not like to go out alone. I have way, way too much time on my hands nowadays. I have grown apart from most of "old friends", most of them are older and they are so busy with their lives. I am trying to start mine over. I wanna go out and start enjoying my life and start living again!!I am just an honest caring soul. I love to go out on the town, but I also love to snuggle on the couch, I am pretty much happy in whatever I am doing. I am actually kind of a shy person at first, honest to a fault, a bit jaded, been hurt like everyone else, maybe a bit more.I am a dreamer without many dreams, a hopeless romantic, I have expensive tastes, and not the means for them. I am a simple man who wants only to be happy with life. I am normally happy, full of obscure references, obscure jokes, and bad puns! I have kind of a twisted sense of humor at times and a dirty mind at times. I wanna get some tatoos. (Donations accepted) I am 38 years old but I am told I certainly don't act like it and I take that as a compliment. I am a kid at heart, but can be very serious if called for.I once had everything I ever desired in life, a beautiful wife, a real house for our kids, a weekends off job, a ski boat to have wonderful family times with, a 1970 ElCamino that was my dream car, a beautiful yard I lavishly landscaped, dogs, cats, fish etc etc........ I was involved in activities that I dearly loved, Scottish Festival, Scottish Club & Mini-Con, My Japanese animation convention. I still have my cat, my kids (every other weekend) and I still attend the Scottish Club, everything else is just memories.So now I need you to help me make some new cherished memories to go along with those old ones!
