Tulsa's largest Anime and Japanese Cultural Expo, presented by Wizards Asylum Comics and Games. Highlights of the show include dealers from all over the country, video game competitions, costume contests, art competitions, guest stars, a dance and much much more!!!! Thousands of people have enjoyed MiniCon. Every year just gets bigger and better!!!

Tom Morga
Actor, stuntman & stunt coordinator. Tom is the only actor to have played Leatherface, Jason & Michael Myers. He has also worked on more Star Trek episodes and movies than any other actor/stuntman alive.

Sonny Strait

Brian Pulido is the creator and writer of Evil Ernie and the legendary LADY DEATH.
Admiral Twin
Formed in 1996, Admiral Twin has released seven CDs to date, including 2000s critically praised Mock Heroic on Mojo/Universal Records. Since 1998, the band has performed for well over 500,000 concert-goers all across North America.
Driver F
Driver F has been described as controlled chaos in rhythm. Over the past few years they have perfected their high energy live show and matured as song writers. They will be embark on a national tour this summer in support of the new album.
Bait
Melodic, Rockin' Heavyweights. Bait combines all that is edgy and fierce with splendid vocals. Unrelenting, formidable, and potent are just some of the words that describes Bait's sound. You'll be humming the melodies, but with attitude!
The Farstar
Hailing from North Texas, The Farstar is an Indie Rock band openly influenced by both noise and pop. The group currently has two releases: the 2008 “Back to Life E.P.” co-produced by Salim Nourallah (Best Producer, Song and Artist/Dallas Observer), and 2003’s “Broken Down and Wandering” produced by Centro-Matic drummer Matt Pence (Best Producer/Dallas Observer). The Farstar is presently recording additional material for a future LP.

Comics legend Michael Golden has worked in just about every genre of comic books over the last 25 years, creating some of the most memorable and influential images in the industry. His credits include Micronauts, Dr. Strange, The Nam, Star Wars, and Batman, and he was one of the co-creators of Rogue from the X-Men.
Gary Friedrich
Gary Friedrich, writer for Marvel and creator of Ghost Rider. Writer for X-Men, Daredevil, the Hulk, Spider-Man and many others.
Wendy Pini
Wendy contributed several covers & illustrations to Galaxy Science Fiction and Galileo magazines in the mid-1970s, before launching Elfquest in 1978. She also created two graphic novels based on the TV series Beauty and the Beast and has illustrated occasional stories for both Marvel Comics and DC Comics. She wrote an introduction to the first volume of the Gargoyles trade paperback and mentions being a fan of the show.
James Farr
James Farr is an artist & writer. He currently writes for television, film & comics and is the author/creator of the highly successful Xombie web animated series. In addition to Xombie, James' other projects include eV, an epic sci-fi manga for Tokyo Pop Publishing, and Casey's Orbit, now in development at Studio B Productions.
Jason Aaron
Jason is one of the most exciting writers in modern comics. His debut series "The Other Side" was nominated for an Eisner. He currently writes the Native American reservation crime thriller "Scalped" for DC/Vertigo.
Joe Jusko
Joe is an international superstar painter. Art collectors covet his gorgeous oil paintings for Marvel Masterpieces trading cards, as well as covers for Tomb Raider and Vampirella.
Jeremy Haun
Jeremy Haun artist for countless tittles and companys. His most well known art was featured in last year summer sensation CIVIL WAR that rocked the Marvel Universe and foreshadowed "the Death of a Dream"
Mark Texeira
Mark Texeira has had a prolific career as a painter of covers for books, comics, magazines and albums. Comic book fans will recognize him from series such as Hercules, Sabretooth: Mark Shelley Overdrive, Wolverine, Ghost Rider (twice!) and he is the current artist on Mook Knight.
Javier Saltares
Javier is best-known for his work on "Ghost Rider" at Marvel, first in the 90's and again in 2006. He has drawn many other titles over the years, including "Iron Man," "Wonder Man," "Catwoman," "Flash," and the miniseries "Aliens Vs. Predator: Duel."
Eric Basaldua
"Ebas" is known as the penciller for many Top Cow titles, such as Witchblade, Tomb Raider, Magdalena and The Darkness. He draws some of the most beautiful women in all of comicdom.
Jason Pearson
Fan-fave Jason Pearson has worked on many titles throughout his career, including X-Men Unlimited, Robin, Batman: Gotham Nights, Global Frequency, Tom Strong's Terrific Tales, and his creator-owned Body Bags.
Joe Benitez
Joe is an in-demand artist whose resume includes "The Darkness," "Detective Comics," "Supergirl," and his creator-owned series "Wraithborn."
David Williams
We are thrilled to welcome David "Brohawk" Williams to his first of what we hope will be many Defcon appearances. David's work on Marvel titles like Power Pack and Fantastic Four Adventures have earned him the respect of his peers industrywide. He has a Superman Annual due to come out at the end of the year.
Rob Davis
Rob Davis past work includes collaboration with Tulsa scribe R.A. Jones on SCIMIDAR, STRAW MEN and CAPTAIN NEMO with Tulsa writer Michael Vance, as well as work ..REK, STAR TREK:TNG, STAR TREK:DEEP SPACE NINE, and other comics for Malibu, Marvel, DC and other comics companies. His recent work includes covers, illustration, and design for Pulp Revival novels with Ron Fortier and AIRSHIP 27 Productions.

Kyle Strahm
Kyle Strahm is just breaking into the industry, with his Clockwork Creature set for November release from Ambrosia Publishing. His horror skills have him in demand, as he is busy working on a project with Eisner nominee Phil Hester.
Cal Slayton
Cal Slayton is best known for his work on the hit indie series “Shades of Blue”. His artwork has also been seen in Dead@17 Rough Cut, Super Hero Happy Hour, Digital Webbing Presents, Champion of Children, Potlatch and more. He recently started drawing the 70-page "horror noir" graphic novel Spookytown, which he also wrote.
Kevin Mellon
Kevin Mellon's smooth lines grace the pages of his creator-owned Gearhead and his collaboration with Phil Hester entitled "13 Steps." Make sure you get a commission from him!
Steve Erwin
Steve worked for DC Comics in the 80's and 90's, co-creating the series Checkmate and Gunfire. Now he works as a freelance illustrator, and on personal projects such as his still-untitled historical graphic novel dealing with the largely unknown history of the Alamo.
Michael Vance
Writer for STARLOG, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENGERATION, COMICS BUYERS GUIDE and dozens of other national publications. Vance ghosted ALLEY OOP breifly, created and wrote HOLIDAY OUT for over 40 newspapers. Currently he writes SUSPENDED ANIMATION, “the longest-running comics review column in America.”
Mike Kennedy
In 1986 Mike began writing and drawing CHUK the BARBARIC as a backup in DARK REGIONS, an independent series which spun off into a three issue mini series. Then came HEROINES INC. a year later. After a small break, Mike helped edit, write and draw in the ROUGH CUT ANTHOLOGY SERIES. After doing a series of gallery shows and a few more conventions as well as some commercial work, Mike released ROUGH CUT PRESENTS.
Jaime "Jimmy" Portillo
GABRIEL is a vampire graphic novel written by Jaime “Jimmy” Portillo. It is a 118 page, black and white, novel based on actual events from Juarez, Mexico. GABRIEL received the prestigious Xeric Foundation grant (Fall 2007), started by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator, Peter A. Laird. Jimmy will be at DEFCON7 selling copies of GABRIEL, along with other GABRIEL products.
Dustin Evans
Dustin Evans has worked on the recent comic book adaption of Disney's Gargoyles, IDW's "Nimby and the D-Hoppers" and Viper Comic's newly released "Imaginary Friends." Other Guests Include
