I love to read. I read things just about on any topic...if it is printed, i'd probably read it. I especially like to read up on different people and places that i have never been to, and i like to read research on interesting or weird incidences. I am deeply passionate about medicine and the biological scineces as a whole. I wanna be a neurosurgeon one day, so the brain is a fascination of mine. Although i haven't played since I was younger, the game of soccer is a major interest of mine. I love to listen to music, go to the movies and just chill with a few good pals.
Another one of my favorite quotes is from Mahatma Gandhi “A man is the sum of his actions, of what he has done, of what he can do, nothing else.†That being said, i would love to meet Dr. Ben Carson --the first black Head of Neurosurgery at any American Hospital. He is currently the Head of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University. Also Dr. Keith L. Black, Director of the Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute and Director of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. An internationally renowned neurosurgeon and scientist. Nelson Mandela and Oprah Winferey. I'd like to meet interesting people....I guess that leaves it open to many types of personalities....people who aren't afraid to keep it real and stand by their convictions. Being wishy washy is a very unattractive quality. I like people who know who they are and aren't afraid to defend their principles. It's always nice to make new friends so if you feel like introducing yourself....don't hestiate.
I love to listen to all kinds of music. U2 is awesome! I'm also into some contemporary up and coming jazz instrumentalists like Chris Botti and Marc Antoine (not marc anthony) Kenny g, Fourplay, Suede. i also love anything and everything from B.B. king. I am a big fan of hip hop and rap (although i'm a bit disenchanted with these new over-commercialized, watered down rappers, who have nothing but catchy beats to back them up...) and well...Tupac. N.E.R.D./PHARRELL, Kanye, RBL, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, Destiny's Child (Beyonce,), Fantasia, Jill Scott, India.Arie, and can't forget PRINCE!!!. I love Reggae music...Bob Marley was a genius. Seal, ....And one of my best friends, Porsche Smith...she's hot y'all! The list is just about endless. When it comes to music, i can honestly say that i am very open-minded and i'll give just about anything a listen.
I love to laugh, so any movie that can be make me laugh is cool with me. Napoleon Dynamite, Coming to America, There's Something about Mary.... Hustle and Flow, Closer, Dirty Pretty Things, Juice, Boyz in Da Hood, Training Day, Mississippi Masala, The Passion of the Christ, Glory, Sound of Music, Brokeback Mountain, Spider Man 2, A time to Kill, Crash, Heaven and Earth, The New World, Maria Full of Grace, the list goes on.....but on a slightly different note, i have developed a great admiration for the films of the late Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. His films like the Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Yojimbo and Sanjuro are classical film making.
I don't watch too much television, but when i do, i enjoy shows like Friends, Seinfeld, House, Grey's Anatomy and the Critical Hour on the Discovery Health Channel. I love documentries on the History Channel and Discovery Health Channel cause you never know what ecentric and mind-boggling phenomenom you might hear about. And of course PBS!

Jesus Christ. And my grandmother is phenomenal. I have a great respect for the Civil Rights leaders, Malcom X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks, and many others like them, for having the courage and determination to question and fight against inequalities against marginalized people.
