Introspection and observation, music, life and progress, Nureau Ink, piano, drawing, roller coasters, eating, doing kinda well in school, America's Next Top Model, and probably some other stuff...lol. I heart art, and I'm starting to get into photography. My most meaningful pursuit in life is constantly elevating and personalizing an authentic relationship with Christ. To God be the glory! I'm also known to be constantly dancing or singing, though I don't do either particularly really well... lol!
Because I strive to work on myself, I like to walk closely with those who follow God authentically and exclusively, but if you're not, we can def still be cool. I'd like to meet some REAL, cool, purpose-driven persons to walk alongside. I'd also like to meet the Nureaumericans and Inkians, 'cuz they encourage me to walk uprightly... James 1:22!!! Additionally, any persons wishing to impart their insights and share their true selves and experiences. Friendship is meant to edify... Proverbs 17:17. And TYRA BANKS, of course. That goes without saying.
* * * * * READ: AND I DON'T MEAN TO BE A SNOB, but if we've never met and you'd like to add me as a friend, please give me some indication of who you are, or why you wanna add me... No stupid introductions or attempts at flattery, please. Sorry, I just don't like adding complete strangers... You know how it is. It's all love, though!* * * * *
I love music, especially music that uplifts God. As a consumer, I've become disillusioned with the music industry, but there's still a lot of great stuff out there. Nureau INK. I love Tonex... Oak Park, Out the Box, The London Letters, all of it. He's bold and original, and I respect him on a number of levels. He's the man! T. Bizzy is crazy... myspace.com/tbizzy92105. My fav song of all time is "Tomorrow (A Better You, Better Me)" feat. Tevin Campbell, and Darin Atwater's "Father We Adore Thee" is positively the most beautiful, celestial song I've ever heard. Richard Smallwood appeals to my musical sense perhaps more than any other. I admire the honesty and conviction behind Kirk Franklin's music. Tye Tribbett & G.A. minister to me, and their Victory record is so amazing and dynamic. Tribe is destined for greatness... Rickey too. Life music. Worship. Old-school Integrity music. I love music that excites me, life music, testimonial music, musical climaxes, cool chord progressions, music that makes me wanna cry. Some 'secular,' but not a ton... Beyonce, Earth Wind & Fire, Brandy, and others. The entire INKset!!! Music is way cool, man.

Sure, I definitely watch too much TV at home, but TV is an important gauge of our status as a society. And there's something to be said about the proliferation of reality T.V. programming...
THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD, AND ENCOMPASSES THE SOLE AND AUTHORITATIVE TRUTH OF LIFE. That's what feeds me. I also love these books: As I Lay Dying, Great Expectations, Beloved, Erasure, The Awakening, This Boy's Life, The Catcher in the Rye, A Raisin in the Sun, The Scarlet Letter, The Second Shift, "Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?" and Other Conversations about Race, Hamlet, Old School, Wuthering Heights, Pride & Prejudice, Frankenstein, The Inferno, and others. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters, Dyson's Is Bill Cosby Right...?, T.D. JAKES' HE-MOTIONS, Howard Zinn's "A People's History..."
To be your own hero is beautiful, but to be a hero for someone else is more powerful. Jesus Christ fits the definition of "hero" exactly; I love Him. My other heroes are those who struggle to face the toils of life and remain driven to find meaning in it despite their imperfections. Mom. Dad. Alicia. My grandfathers, grandmothers, and other relatives... many Overcomers. Lori. Lily. Jermaine. Geoffrey. Yvette. Marcellus. Alex. Tonex. Dr. Terrell. Daria Morgendorrfer and Doug Funnie... lol! These are just some. It's important to acknowledge the people in your life whose example helps you to keep going.
