hills

A day laborer born in the mountains of North Carolina. Lived in Winston Salem for 7 years laboring with the Wherehouse family & making music with Bell Brothers, Malabaster and Jeffery Dean Foster. Moved to Brooklyn, NY for 4 years to play drums with Oakley Hall and Christy & Emily as well as record some fantastic bands. Onward to Pittsburgh, PA for 2 years of carpentry and drumming with SKNKS as well as manage to engineer the recording of 11 albums with various artists. Along side a loving wife & two cats Hills now resides in Santa Fe, NM preparing new adventures and a new full length album of songs to follow up his 2006 album "STREET BLUES". Hills helps bands make recordings. including: ludlow, dirty faces, west virginia methlab, SKNKS, company, ex models, man forever, motico, usaisamonster, plate tectonics, christy & emily, the pill, cowboys & indians, the 9th ward & oakley hall. Most recently hills has been working on a project with andrew deutsch (of HOME fame) called shaker mile, a set of recordings from april fools weekend 2007. 13 songs from conception to completion in just over 24 hours...still a little mixing to do but keep an ear to the ground.
