I'm obnoxious and intelligent sometimes, and dippy and lovely the rest of the time. I like exploring and reading and trying out anything fun. I looooove LiveJournal, and I'm known as firemasque on there.

In terms of social groupings I like to think of myself as a goth but I don't really dress like anything in particular....and nothing like stylishly much of the time. I appreciate irony and have a sick sense of humour. Other peoples' misfortunes tend to amuse me more than they should, as does toilet humour. But poo will ALWAYS be funny. I like making other people laugh too, and have a weakness for anyone who will laugh with me.

Musically, I like rock, industrial....god it sounds so clichéed...Nine Inch Nails are my official favourite band, but by no means do I stick to them and them alone. I am perfectly capable of accepting that they're, shall we say, not quite as fantastic as they used to be. On record, at least. I'm really digging this wave of punk cabaret/klezmer/gypsy/random stuff that's coming out at the moment, all the Dresden Dolls, Rasputina, Katzenjammer Kabarett, Rasputina, Gogol Bordello, Devotchka....it's hit-and-miss at times, but when it hits it makes you feel really rather fab to be alive. The best time to listen to music is on earphones whilst travelling, I reckon. Punk, industrial, gabba techno, indie, metaaaaaaal, whimsy, and occasionally even pop. Just not shite. I really hate shite.

I have a slight obsession with feathers and glitter and love making things like collages and masks and other random shit. If I could have wings of my own, I'd fly around alllllll day.

I like to fly. My party trick is to breathe fire. Fire is fabulous.

I also like to watch movies. I love odd movies, foreign movies, anything intelligent, really, mostly dark and violent movies as well. I detest dumb movies and dumb movie stars and the dumb people who watch them. TV seems to really suck these days, but I like the Simpsons, Family Guy, and anything, y'know, INTERESTING. But I tend not to turn it on at all.

I love to pretend I'm not prejudiced but I have a serious problem with stupid and ignorant people, and people who just blindly follow the crowd and bow to the stupidity enforced upon them.

My husband and I have sworn to explore the world together and not let mediocrity beat us into the ground too much. Whilst we're still slaves to the capitalist treadmill, we can still dream, and think, and create.
