About Me

This profile was edited with two suitcase nukes and a backhoe!
If you really want to know:
These are my paintings This is my life .
This is my resume as both artist and agent
Feel free to read the blog and ask questions. Those "lifestyle" questions have a really limited assortment of answers; I don't think they define me particuarly.
I always have a ton of projects on the burners at once. I am never without something to do, and often multi-task. However, do not be afraid to propose a cool project, because if it is cool enough, I will find the time!

My Interests

Fine art, painting, the art & science of cocktails, military history, intellectual history, marine biology, BJDs, chaos, left hand path, visionary art, occult art, bone art, recycling my friends, ancient Egypt, anime, travel, not being a tourist, clowns, guerilla art, poetic terrorism, being fabulous, funny hats, pirates, wordplay, apocalyptic folk, jrock, visual kei, worrying sheep, stopping clocks, screwing things up for maximum fun and profit, cephalopods... yeah I think that about covered it.

I'd like to meet:

- other working artists
- non-loony mages (LHP or CMT especially)
- mad scientists (no animal mutilators, no exceptions) - hot circus freaks - co-conspirators
- collaborators
- fellow travellers
- cults of personality
- new models (male, slender, low on body hair, 18-30 yrs preferred; stylish a plus; older, in shape, long-haired men occasionally welcome)
- people who want to give me shows
- people who want to buy my work
- people who want to give me commissions or contracts

I'm looking for places to build installation pieces. I've done it twice and I jones badly to do it again. It's worse than getting tattooed in terms of addictiveness.

Music:

Death in June, Robyn Hitchcock, Adam and the Ants, Iggy Pop, Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, X Japan, Clutch, Carbon Leaf, Firewater, Janne Da Arc, Jolly Rogers, New Model Army, Penicillin, Mr. Bungle, Skinny Puppy, Swans, Coil, Sopor Aeternus, Deutsch Nepal, Raison d'etre, Patti Smith, Skincage... my mp3 player can make almost anyone cry.

Movies:

Hardware. Sure I like other movies, but that's my all time favorite.

Television:

Telewhat!? Those are those things you put iguanas in, right?

Books:

Watership Down, Breakfast of Champions, Cosmic Trigger, Illuminatus!, Liber Kaos, Gunshot Wounds, Gray's Anatomy, Artist Beware, Dune, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, At The Mountains of Madness, Pickman's Model, Octopus and Squid: The Soft Intelligence

Heroes:

I'm sure I have a few. Or maybe I'm my own hero?

Artist Myths

When I was younger, I subscribed to the belief that artists were all crazy hermits, and that sounded like an ideal career path to my unsociable, crotchety, elf-hallucinating self.  As I grew and ...
