I'm not completely a fan of Bill Mahar, he hits some thing on the head and just misses the boat completely other times, but this was pretty funny.
I know you're expecting something interesting out of this site. Check out everyone's beloved Noam Chomsky telling his loyal public what he thinks about the world trade investigations.
2cents We are at war, whatever warfare means in this day and age. We can rest painfully on the fact that thousands of US soldiers have died because of this and tens of thousand of peaceful Iraqi and Afghan citizens have been killed. It’s only logical to go back to the source and see what started the conflict. On Sept 12, 2001, one day after the trade center collapse and certainly before any investigating could be done; Bush announced that the acts of “9/11†“were acts of war.†6 years later, with no end in site and no plausible explanation for its beginning, the investigations continue.
Noam Chomsky, respected career intellectual and prized voice of the left however says “who cares….it’s taking away from the real issue.†But for the life of me, I can’t find a "realer" issue in relation to the war.
What kind of critic and analyst says, ‘who cares, things cant be explained" and then refers us to the letters section of a discovery magazine.
Let me know what you think?
"They must find it difficult. Those who have taken authority as the truth, rather than truth as the authority." -Gerald Massey
Someone speaking with much more honesty...
This is Lt. Ehren Watada. If you haven’t kept up with him..Ehren was/is a first lieutenant in the US Army. He was just another soldier; however, taking his leadership role seriously; he decided that if he was going to lead men to possible death, he must know for certain that the fighting cause was just. He took the necessary steps to educate himself about the war in Iraq and found that he would not be serving the constitution if he took part in this war. In June, he publicly refused to deploy to Iraq; said he believed the war to be illegal and that, under the doctrine of command responsibility; it would make him party to war crimes. He stood up to the intense weight of the military and mounds of public scrutiny for justice and truth. He is being court marshaled. Here he talks about what it means to live with integrity and honor in our world today.
This is a most powerful speech. I definitely recommend taking a minute to check it out.
The War on Terror is a farce. It is a battle with no distinguishable or visible enemy. It can go on as long as our administration wants.
"Terrorism is the best political weapon, for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death."
