Kids who would otherwise be drinking beer and playing video games are getting involved, educating themselves, and taking a stand. It’s brilliant to see the beginnings of a movement. After the world trade center fell, millions of eyes opened and the voice of opposition in this country is growing louder. People are talking about freedom, real freedom not the kind we spread to developing nations. We are talking about truth, ending the years of US occupation of Iraq that was based on lies to begin with, scrutinizing the awesome unchecked power of mercenary corporations overseas and at home. We are talking about waking up to the crackdown on civil liberties and the infringement on individual privacies. We are talking about examining the spending and distribution of our tax dollars, 4 months of my hard earned income going into the pockets of Halliburton. Government corruption and lies. Media censorship. Terrorism. Globalization. Disastrous healthcare. Declining value of the dollar. Genetic modification. Poor food quality. The list goes on and on. But these are things that matter to us. And if we have any chance of reclaiming this democracy, our hope now rests with Ron Paul.
