I am Nicholas Abdur-Rahman McConnell, meaning Victory to the People - Slave of the Merciful - Strong as a Wolf, of Irish descent, born in the early 80's to an east Glasgow Catholic family. Also known as Julio and Shanakee, i'm a spitter and beatmaker.
I got the same story as many kids: drink, drugs, violence and petty crime, out of which an on-going search for truth culminated in accepting Islam in south Reading 2006. I describe becoming Muslim as tuning into nature, recognising our limits as human beings, and this road is our last stand - the one thing this Babylon-Dajaal System we all live under hasn't quite managed to neutralise...but it's all good. I'm here trying to fulfill my obligations and working as many hours a week as possible to pay the bills, feed the family and fund spraying my name up on this rap game.
