About Me
I’ve been thinking about this for so long with so much effort put into the thought process, n I have looked everywhere to try to find answers, n the only thing that makes sense is to do what I am about to do. I want to start by thanking Allah (swt) for giving me all the blessings He has blessed me with through-out the years. I am Muslim, before I am anything else and insha’Allah nothing on the face of this earth will make me believe other-wise. MAFUA is my life, it is what defines Hasan, and now that I am older, and I have worked so hard to get MAFUA to the level Allah has given me permission to bring it to: I catch myself not being content no more. I am rebelling against my Creator for worldly pleasure! I have been doing so for way too long now. I bare witness there is no God but Allah and that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is His last and final messenger! I refuse to get lost in this dunya, my akhira is of mad importance to me! I plan on sticking by all that I am stating in this note, and i beg Alalh for His help with this. I have decided to CUT out music from my life. MAFUA is, was, and always will b my cause, my peoples voice, but I have to find a better way to get the voice heard, I don’t have the courage to keep doing MAFUA the way I've been doing it. I have to set an example to all those I gave hope to, to let their voices be heard. We are Muslims, We have a COMPLETE code of life already laid out for us, and we can NOT add or take away from it. MUSIC is HARAAM (not permissible) no matter how one tries to justify it and make themselves be at ease with their ignorant justifications (I know so because I am the one I am referring to in this statement), the fact of the matter remains that our beloved Prophet (PBUH) disliked music! He (PBUH) only allowed for the 'Duff' to be used at certain occasions. Now, that being said, I want whoever that cares to know: I have to and am going to Quit MUSIC, not MAFUA, but MUSIC! I have to become a better Muslim before I can explore my options with MAFUA again, but Insha’Allah I WILL always rep and stand firmly for my cause: MAFUA! I sincerely apologies to all my supporters/fans if this causes any of you any kind of inconvenience. Insha’Allah in the near future (with Allah’s blessings and All of y'alls Prayers) I will shape MAFUA to be exactly what it's suppose to be: A universal call to peace and hope for ALL peoples of the world, but done in a manner pleasing to Allah.
May Allah Forgive Us All!THE MAFUA PROJECTIntroduction:
An acronym formed by a grade 10 student of The Islamic Foundation School in Toronto, Canada during the school year of 2002-2003. M.A.F.U.A which stands for May Allah Forgive Us All, was merely an approach to get the student himself, and his peers to pray for forgiveness from Allah, an attempt by a young Muslim to keep his Lord happy and aim for paradise.M.A.F.U.A started off as a simple name that would eventually die down, but Hasan (the emcee who goes under the alias 5-7; which symbolizes the five daily prayers Muslims have to pray everyday, in turn: Five times a day=5, Seven days a week=7) was persistent not to let that happen. From a clique of a couple of Muslims struggling to follow the Deen to just another memory, the original intent of M.A.F.U.A. seemed to die down for good. As time passed and 5-7 grew older, matured, and learned from his wrong choices and rough experiences, one thing became very clear: M.A.F.U.A would be his only escape from all the wrong.Writing rhymes was a hobby since 5-7 was very young, but it never really seemed possible for a Desi (South-Asian), and more over, a Muslim youth whose path of life was much crooked to be accepted as a figure of influence in the community. With almost everything going down the drain it couldn’t really cause any more damage if he tried. The outcome was as expected, much hatred and much disrespect towards the whole M.A.F.U.A concept.5-7 slowly but surely, was starting to show more love for M.A.F.U.A. With the little bit of support he had, 5-7 continued to find ways where he could make M.A.F.U.A a universal call for forgiveness from Allah through the art form of hip-hop.Alhamdulilah now the tracks are being made slowly with the rugged lyrics most Muslims don’t really know how to accept but know are true. Insha’Allah in the near future the world shall see what a young struggling MUSLIM is capable of.May Allah Forgive Us All!Masthead Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!
