All your lives, you have been poor white trash,
And you sort of figured that was a bad thing to be,
If you ever thought about it at all,
And there were maybe times when you felt ashamed about all your dad's prison sentences,
And how beat up your mom used to look every Sunday morning,
And how you could never hold down a steady job,
Because you got drunk,
Or lost your temper,
Or couldn't read the directions,
Or were just too stupid to do what they wanted,
Whatever it was.
But you and your people have been here for a long long time now,
And you've never changed in all that time,
Which is why things are different now,
Because the wheel spins round and round all the time,
And every once in a while a different number comes up,
And this time it's your number,
Because all the time that you've kept on being you,
Other people have been getting more and more like you all the time,
Even if they didn't notice,
And now they're almost exactly like you,
In many many ways,
Which is why it's suddenly your turn to set the pace for everyone else,
And show the whole population of the Most Chosen Nation on Earth how to be white trash,
Just like you. -Harry
