Hanging out with friends, at least the ones that will put up with me. Working (hey, I love my job, it's a cool place. What can I say?). Messing around on the internet. Movies (mostly horror type stuff and the great old grindhouse/drive-in flicks from the late 50s through 70s), all kinds of music, writing, pro wrestling (somewhat, most of the current stuff sucks monkey wind).I also enjoy freaking people out by talking about the most uncomfortable topics possible. Yes, I'm a bit skewed, and my areas of interest can be...eccentric. But that's just how I am. Deal with it, or not. Whichever.
Screw that noise, people should be wanting to meet ME! *waits for line to form*Eh...honestly, people with the same sort of interests, etc. The usual. Since I'm into pretty much all forms of entertainment, that's kind of an open range.
I listen to a fair variety of music. My CD/mp3 collection ranges all over the board. Though I veer towards hard rock (and that includes 70s rock, heavy metal, the 90's rock scene (I refuse to acknowledge the word "grunge"), punk, etc.), I can listen to the Beatles, Tori Amos and Johnny Cash as well. I love to listen to non-rock stuff, but oddly, I prefer to hear it live. I'm not a big fan of listening to jazz or blues on CD, but I love hearing it live.I'm a huge fan of local bands, and wish I had more time to see them at the clubs around here. If you're an indie rock band (please note: actual bands), especially in the Dallas/East Texas area, and your stuff is good, hit me up for an add. I don't mind.Malvasio - acoustic musician and one of the best things going on Youtube these days. Check out his great stuff.
I love the great (and usually grainy) old drive-in and grindhouse flicks from the late 50's through the late 70's. Regional/indie type stuff. I'm not an elitist, and I like a lot of current stuff as well (including writing DVD reviews for Pop Syndicate ), but my first love is the low-budget stuff from that time frame.Basically anything by people like Ray Dennis Steckler, Russ Meyer, Kay Parker, Ed Wood, Al Adamson, Del Tenney, Rene Bond, Joe Sarno, etc. If it's low-budget exploitation, I'm there. Z-level creature features, kung fu movies, skin flicks, JD films...if it was the type of thing you could usually only catch at places like 42nd Street or on the second half of a drive-in bill, I'm all over it. You can probably get a better idea by viewing my current DVD collection at DVD Aficionado .
Not really a TV person anymore, sorry. Move along.
Heroes? Hell, this world needs more villains.
