Trust me,you dontwant no Brian3000. I'm fighting Juries. Yo ass is new To A-town.U Can Be King of B(

About Me

I am now a Photoblogger Too Flickr.com Rules -My photos from the last few months are posted herewww.picasaweb.google.com/brian3000atlienI refuse to apologize for doing what it is in this life that makes me happy and am puzzled why others don't act the same?First of all my name is Brian. Just a single guy trying to get by in the Atl. This is such a great town to live in (or visit to all of you assholes I call my friends who have failed to visit me in my 6.5 years in the atl... this town is so much fun, especially as a single guy, Imean it's already like 65-35 girl guy and half those dudes are gay... that's what you call good odds) Carpe Noctem. Love the MJQ (big ups to the Drunken Unicorn Room nice to have another band spot and big ups on ripping that fucking wall out so there is room to mover now), Crescent Room, Local, Twisted Taco, East Side Lounge, The Earl, The Mark, Eleven50, Loca Luna. Really love to travel (did a 3 month 15 country backpacking trip in Europe with my bro -- sunglasses in my current pic [now in others], mic is younger bro Kevin, family and friends are very important to me, in fact I even keep up regularly with about 15 high school classmates and 25 college ones, for this I feel very lucky) aol im: qua86 for chatting. I have a webcam for those I haven't *seen* in a while. So far 2004 has been pretty cool for me. I'd like to mix a trip or two in here or there. I know some folks have been kicking around Ibiza, Acapulco, Vegas and SF. Let's do something, preferably warm (I like the idea of south America btw). Oh and I type for shit and usually don't care to spell-check unless I am turning something in. If this bothers you greatly we probably wouldn't get along all that well, or if we did I'd likely mock you ad naseum for being anal... Hi Melanie!)First off, racists, homophobes and people who are just generally assholes need not apply. I search for 1. Intellectually stimulating, outgoing party people who enjoy sucking the marrow out of life. 2.Cool people to casually date, hang out with, attend concert and just have a good time. However I need people who are not depressed or angry all the fucking time! The last girl I seriously dated was a glass is half empty kind of gal, and I can't deal with that again. What I really would like is to find people who can see the glass as 1/4 full instead of 3/4 empty. Anyone can hang out when times are good, the real measure of a relationship/person is how they deal with shit when the chips are down. Hanging out with overly jaded or always pessimistic people is pretty tiring too. I mean a lot of shit in this world does suck, but if that's the case why dwell on it. Move on to something that actually does interest you and you'll probably be happier. I'd like to meet fun loving, outgoing, generally extroverted types of people who are in to doing fun "things". Whether those things be foreign movies, bars, art gallery openings, nude bocce ball, road trips, rooftop parties, sports, biking etc... doesn't matter, but just really looking to have a good time and maybe meet some fuckers who have similar ideals..

My Interests

Travel, Backpacking, Clubbing, Playing just about any game (although I still am partial to taboo and games that are fun for groups), ultimate Frisbee, independent/foreign films One good place to find off beat and ecclectic fun in this town is a www.hushbox.com

I'd like to meet:

Madonna , Nikki Sixx, Kool Keith, Selma Hyak, Andy Warhol, Hugh Heffner, Bob Dylan, Conner Oberst, Mista Chuck D, Nick Cave, you-- unless you suck...! HTML background code is limited, CSS background code is much better!

Music:

This one is always tough. I like just about everything except country (save a few Willie/Cash tunes.) I tend to like high energy/upbeat music. Really like disco, progressive house, D&B, indie rock, metal, hip hop, classic rock, shoegazing.... pretty much everything. Not that into R & B either... maybe in the next chapter of my life. Some of my favorite bands include Faster Pussycat, My Bloody Valentine, Beastie Boys, Misfits, Bright Eyes, Indigo Girls, The Darkness, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, Outkast, Air, Oasis, AC/DC, Sonic Youth, The Roots Who/stones/Beatles/etc, Dr. Octagon and aliai. sigh I just get tired of listing em all and you'll never read em all if I did.Made a new years resolution to try and hit more local music and so far it’s been working out pretty good. There is a lot of good bands in the atl. Just actually saw Snowden last night at the MJQ-Drunken Unicorn Room and they were BAD ASS (think of a mix of the Cure, Joy Division and My Bloody Valentine). Others that I dig on are Homeroom (www.Ilovehomeroom.com) and Playing 4/1/04 at the Ten High below the Dark-horse covering a bunch of 80’s one hit wonder songs with The Silent Kids, The Young Antiques, Metric, The Sounds, South to name a few ...Outkast/Luda no longer really need my help now do they... (although a buddy of mine was doing a video shoot yesterday for a new Goodie Mob single and they are supposed to have an album dropping soon w/original members minus cee-lo).

Television:

Reality shows are funny but getting stale, I like most sports, some staples include just about anything on Comedy Central, The Simpsons, Beverly Hills 90210, most informative tv is cool too (discovery, history, nature or any one f the 6 million specialized channels). I tend to watch anything if I am in front of a tv, so I try and avoid that whenever possible.

Books:

Ten little Indians, LOTR (all 4), Lady Chaterlees Lover, The Prince, Brush with the Law, The Great Gatsby, A Catcher in the Rye, Cats Cradle, 1984.

Heroes:

my parents, John Lawson, Barbara Shaheen, Arthur Kinoy (http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=385), Chuck D, John Lennon ..
