On Oct 18 1982, Redstar was born into the crack capital of Canada known as Steel City. He was introduced to hip-hop at an early age by his brother Marko. At around grade 2 Redstar had started recording freestyles. Into high-school he had formed a group w/ his childhood associate Sweet-C named SCC. The album circulated around the mega city and overall recieved alot of respect. Not too long after that an mc named by Redstar as Baby Ruth, came into the mix from Sweet-C who had been attending the same school. After recording basement freestyles/tapes Baby Ruth's cousin Lava took notice to Redstar's style and felt inspired to dust off his pad and start rapping again. Not too long after these four artists whom labeled themselves U.V.S (Universal Sunz) had a suprise just around the corner. Lava's uncle Rob Marcano who was working w/ a label connected to Bad Boy Records called Fire Ent. (at that time) in Hamilton wanted to start working w/ the four mc's (manage them) and get them a record contract from New York City. After performing in Mr. Marcano's basement, taking criticism and trying to perfect their art for over a year, they were introduced to the Fire Ent. Studio & Staff. By that time U.V.S consisted of just Lava & Redstar. Baby Ruth & Sweet-C didnt want to sacrifice their time for the group. After experiencing some great highs & lows, Manager Marcano left the company because Bad Boy didnt want to sign Redstar & Lava. Now It was basically back to the streets. After that everything naturally fell apart. Redstar wanted to give his new-born daughter all his time while Lava was persuing a hungry solo career. Currently Redstar has started his own record label called G.H Records, which supports (only) real mc's. He has his debut solo album (Real Musik) coming soon w/ production by; Yard Life Productionz, Jinx Beatz & Pure Fire Beatz. It also features guest appearances from Lord Black, Chase Davis, The 1st Bornz, Stamma & more.
