BIOGRAPHY
A rising force in the hip-hop underworld, his accomplishments did not come without
hard work, and sacrifice. After being forced to leave his hometown of Sarajevo in
war-torn former Yugoslavia at the young age of eight due to the escalating violence and
genocide taking place, Crood and his family ended up living in Chicago before
eventually settling in Canada. Not unlike many Yugoslavian kids, he once had his
sights set on a professional basketball career before a serious ankle injury effectively
ended that dream. At sixteen, his father left and he subsequently dropped out of high school
and began making a name for himself through local battles and tapes circulating in surrounding
cities and neighborhoods. "At this point in my life, shit wasnt sweet and music was kind of like my
best friend to turn to. Luckily despite the bullshit i can say i had a good family life. My mom,
sister and granparents were all there through the tough times."
Even in the early stages of his rap career, it was always clear his talent
would inevitably take him places. Shortly after being dismissed on a drug trafficking charge which stemmed from a serious car
crash at the age of seventeen, police forced Crood into a psychiatric fascility where he was forced to undergo
treatment for what doctors called "psychotic delusions". Undettered by the horrible impact
of this imprisonment, he continued perfecting his craft and began putting
his plans into action and began turning a life of struggle into a positive.
"The way i feel about it is, i didn't come across the world to be broke but at the same time it
honestly be easier for me to say fuck this rap shit and focus on getting money full time if that was
my only objective."
"What i really wanna do is be a pioneer, make my mark, and bring not only Sizzerb
but this whole rap thing to the next level. I think we all share the same truth and that's what
i wanna share with ya'll through my music, i think in a game full of lies and deception, that's revolutionary
and what the game needs now and forver. It ain't about saving hip-hop, we here, and actions speak
louder then words my dude..." Having already turned
down major label offers and been featured on mixtapes with top contenders such
as Dipset, Purple City, Team Invasion, Dj Vlad, Big Mike, Nu Jerzy Devil, DJ Kurupt and more, he is set to take it to the next level with his solo mixtape debut presented by DJ Vlad and Purple City dropping in early 2007.
