HUSTLE HARD,GET MONEY,AND LIVE COMFORTABLEDec 1979,Brooklyn, half American half Trinidadian Henney Limon is born into the beginning of hip-hop.Early 80's when RUN-DMC was still wearing adidas with no shoe laces,and Slick Rick was rocking more gold chains than Mr. T. When Video music box was the BET of his time. Back when breakdancing and old school routines were the newest dances. At the age of seven Henney learned to beat box mimicking Douge E fresh and Biz Markie. From there he would learn to freestyle from watching his favorite rappers. Dressing up and rapping in the mirror a tape recorder would be the only thing to come close to an actual mic. At the age of nine he would then perform in a small fashion show and recited a rhyme that was written for him. In the year 92, his mother's job relocated to Charlotte, NC (better known as the dirty south). The transition hurt him but like a chameleon he had to adapt to his new environment. Henney was admired by people because of his NY style and his witty sense of humor. He would meet up with bronx native ,shotti bless (now incarcerated) and the two would befriend each other. The two formed a team called unknown soldiers and of course the group grew in numbers. Other members such as Machete,infa-red,and drama would also become apart of the group. The unknown soldiers was more than just Hip-hop. It was a team of huslters and the name of the group would become OCF (Organized Crime Family). Henney exiled himself from the crew and would then venture off on his own. From that point Henney would create a beef between himself and OCF. Words were exchanged but henney, known as the little man with a big heart,feared nothing and no one. OCF respected him and would ask him to rejoin the crew but henney declined. J-scienide and Malik would take young henney under their wing and guide him to become the ferocious and agressive MC he is today. At the age of, 16 henney would in engage in his first actual battle which would take place in school and of course the outcome would be victorious to the now soloist mc. Many battles would take place and henney would be known for his impressive yet very aggressive delivery. Struggling to find himself, his name would change often. He went from "Shifdy, the rugged soldja" to "Divine Reality" The name Grizz-lo complimented his style but he still wasn't satisfied. With West indian heritage and the love for alcohol (hennessy and bacardi limon ) The name henney limon would then take its place as his name. Best friends Bakardi smith and Com.dot would join up to form the group OMEGA RED. As the story goes on the group and others such as J-scienide,Untamed,Flawless,Charlie barlils, Peta Eata Hoe,and C-Boogie would create the label BROOKLINA REKKIDS, although the group omega red split up over time after countless shows and freestyle raids battling their way through charlotte with nothing to fear but failure, They would remain close friends and under the same label. Now in 3 seperate parts of the country Henney back in NY,Bakardi over in L.A and Com.dot in Indiana. The 3 have their minds set on making it one way or another. I've heard that there was talk of an OMEGA RED reunion. Who knows, it could happen. We'll jus have to wait and find out.
