About Me

Allan Aguirre has over 20 years experience working with some of Contemporary and Modern Christian Music's biggest names. An accomplished and published songwriter, recording and touring artist, producer and business man, Allan is considered by many as one of the most influential alternative Christian artists.
Both critics and fans alike credit Allan for pioneering the punk rock genre with his band Scaterd Few which also featured a promising drummer named Sam West (Stavesacre, The Violet Burning). Scaterd Few was known as living that which they preached fusing reggae with punk music and ethic. Allan also broke ground introducing the post-punk (Goth) genre to CCM with Spy Glass Blue .
Through Scaterd Few, Allan worked with legendary producers, Terry Taylor (Daniel Amos) who discovered Allan and his mates and the late Gene Eugene (The Green Room Studios, BAI Recording Co., Adam Again, The Lost Dogs). In 1990, with Eugene at the controls and Taylor co-producing with Aguirre, Scaterd Few released Sin Disease which Opus Magazine described as "a real gem that hasn't lost it's energy after more then a decade, and whose impact will probably never be known."
Aguirre and company worked with HR of the legendary Bad Brains in 1987 and again in 1991 where they opened up for and doubled as Human Rights, HR's reggage side project, in support of HR's Charge CD. This preceeded POD's work with HR by over 10 years. While on this tour the infamous Sublime opened up for Aguirre's Scaterd Few/Human Rights show.
Allan has been praised for creating regional Christian music scenes across the country, and criticized for being too authentic. Fusing multiple genres seamlessly throughout his lengthy and celebrated career, Allan is listed in the Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music along with his two bands Scaterd Few and Spy Glass Blue. Not ever resting on his story, in 2001, Allan launched with partner, Jonathan Peters, Accidental Sirens , LLC, an independent recording company featuring 1998 Dove Award winners, Massivivid as well as Shiloh which featured Joel Bailey (Sixpence, None The Richer, Society's Finest).
He has held Director/Producer positions for the blue-chip technology conglomerate, IBM and directed live events for Texas Instruments. His desire to understand new technology and to live on the cutting edge has led him to develop Podcast Media, a podcast design/development, hosting and consultant company. In 2005, Podcast Media logged on with Cornerstone Festival to bring the first ever live podcasts from the summer festival. The podcasts included an industry exclusive interview with Jerome Fontamillas of Switchfoot. Allan hosted the 2005 Tom Fest Podcast as well. He also hosts with his family, The Zany Aguirre's Podcast and podcasts a lyrical study of Scaterd Few with A Scaterd Few Podcast. Allan also runs the Dallas based Riley Agency and he is also an accomplished photographer .
Allan currently lives in Dallas, TX with his wife of 20 years, Cristina, and their three teenaged children Xaundelle, Corin, Saphraine who have a band of their own; Drama Dust . The family was featured on episode 10 of ABC's Wife Swap inaugural season (2004), in which Cristina swapped positions with a wife and mother in South Carolina. The episode centered on a very conservative Christian family and the Aguirre's post-punk Christian home. The show garnered a 4.5 share which translated to 8-10 million viewers.
