About Me

Keeley Valentino had the fortunate task of asking Stan Sonu to help her with a song, waaay back in the days of her senior year in college. They were students together in Songwriting 101 with Deanna Walker at Vanderbilt University, and their paths crossed one afternoon when Deanna suggested Keeley get Stan's genius guitar playing to accompany her on an assignment. Keeley, playing no instrument of her own, was a bit nervous to ask the infamous musical prodigy for his input (he had played for the class previously in the semester and solidified himself as a force to be reckoned with) but as soon as they sat down together, nothing short of magic unfolded. They were instantly musically inspired by each other, and whats more, instantly friends. Since that fateful day in 2003, the pair have been writing together and performing in venues from Nashvegas to LA. Keeley graduated from Vanderbilt in 2004 and has stayed in Nashville pursuing her musical aspirations. She just released her first full length record this past fall (produced by Matt Mangano) and co-wrote all the songs with Stan, who continues to be her knight in shining accompanyment armor. Stan is a senior this year, planning to graduate in May and take a year off to do noble and honorable service projects around the world before going to med school. The pair will separate and go their own ways, but Keeley will always consider herself the luckiest girl in the world to have had Stan's influence and wisdom guiding her through the past few years. She will surely only be a better musician and writer because of it.
