I have two kids that live with their mother in Indiana and I never get to see anymore. I regret never having been given the chance to be in their lives and that they grew up with no father figure in their lives.
I have two other kids I inherited when I got married. I did get to see them grow up and they are an important part of my life. I have a beautiful granddaughter that I went from seeing daily and taking care of to not seeing her at all, which sucks big time. I have a goddaughter I stay with and she has four girls that are truly a source of joy.
I sing and play bass, I've been looking for a band to join or form but no one seems to want to do the same kind of music I do. I also guess I have a problem with the rampant lack of professionalism in bands I have seen around here. There are exceptions but by and large I am tired of seeing bands play thirty year old songs badly. Playing the same songs they played twenty years ago and still screwing them up. And the compulsion some people have to see how much they can drink or how much drugs they can do and still be able to find the stage. Can't tell you how many bands I've seen that sound great the first set and suck after that because one or more in the band are fucked up on something. Are you there to play or party? Having played over 500 shows in at least three different countries, I know what I am talking about when it comes to knowing the difference between being a garage band and a working band.
I have worked as a DJ, a cable guy, a satellite installer, a bouncer, a bartender, a dishwasher, a professional clown, a professional wrestler, a stay at home dad. I am a Gulf War veteran and served for 14 years in the United States Air Force. So being lazy isn't in my nature. I am highly skilled with most anything electronic and/or mechanical. I love to work with my hands and have won awards for some of the model space ships I have built.
I drink sometimes but don't smoke cigarettes or do drugs. I have no problems with people who do, unless it affects me.
I collect tattoos ( I have 13 so far ) and again, have no problems with people who don't.
I've been in a music video for the American Plague. I've been on Jerry Springer.
I like Science fiction especially Start Trek and have two Klingon tattoos to prove it.
I am too forgiving many times and too trusting all the time. I'd rather get screwed over once and again than to never trust anyone. I am and always will be me. The product of a good upbringing and a PhD from Sidewalk University.
