Born in Florida in 1977, DJ Manyacal moved to the great state of Anchorage, Alaska at the age of 2 years old. At the age of 9 he started to have a real ear for music. Listening to anything from Pop to Rock, Jazz, & Hip-Hop. At 16 he started making little mixtapes for his friends & spinning birthday parties. At 18 he got his first real gig at a club called Lost Abby spinning dance & top 40. After spinnin at Lost Abby, at 23 DJ Manyacal got accepted to join a brand new hip-hop radio station. KFAT 92.9 was the first of its kind. A crew included Keke Luv, Rusty, KJ, DJ Manyacal, Don, & Kim Kane. Manyacal's role was to mix The Shower Shave & Bathe Mix durning the morning show, mix the afternoon 5 O' Clock Grind everyday, & mix the Saturday Night Phat Mix every Saturday night. In September of 1999 DJ Manyacal would break the Guiness Book Of World Records in On-Air Mixing. Record once owned by Marvin Nugent KUBE 93 of 55 hours. DJ Manyacal broke the 55 hours & added another hour & 1 minute to it. He had went 56 hours & 1 minute giving DJ Manyacal the title "Alaska's World Record Breaker". The record has been set higher by another DJ. In 2000, Manyacal was voted best hip hop DJ by the Anchorage Press. He's opened up for artists such as Destiny's Child, Mya, DMX, Naughty By Nature, & Mystikal just to name a few. He's also opened for Comedians Gary Owens, Mike Epps, & John Witherspoon. In 2004, Manyacal moved to Colorado Springs, CO further his DJ career. In 2005, he got marrried to his wife Jessica. For a little while, Manyacal was spinning on 98.9 Magic FM for a weekly mixshow. Manyacal left Magic FM & landed a gig at Icon Nightclub in Colorado Springs. About 8 months later, Icon closed its doors for good. Manyacal has also djed for Baby Boy da Prince in 2007. DJ Manyacal now spins on 96.1 The Beat with DJ Madboy for The Street Sweeperz Smashdown weekdays Monday - Thursday from 9pm to 11pm MT. Also streaming online at www.beatcolorado.com. DJ Manyacal is a official member of the Street Sweeperz Squad, The World Famous Bumsquad DJz, Shadyville DJs, & official member of Vinylbreakers.....
