Band Members: Who Is Stamina? (real name: Dan Kelley)
It has always proved a difficult task to define my style, to fit it into a neat box to which can be attached a convenient label. It has been my lot in life, regardless what I am doing, to remain elusive. This has never presented a problem for me, as I am less concerned with fitting in as I am with breaking out. I feel it would be a pity to limit the creative process to one genre alone; the spectrum of human experience is far too vast to be restricted to one exclusive mode of expression. To do so would be tantamount to an attempt at fitting the entire ocean into a water bottle.
So, who is Stamina? It depends on who's listening. My songs can be likened to a river that is about to fall into the sea: it takes one glance back at the terrain it has traversed and then, just before it falls into the ocean, it sings its song to the path it took to get there. Then there are times when my songs are simply hymns to the ocean itself. We are all of us defined by where we have been and rarely by who we are; so, if you wish to know where I've been, listen to the music. If you wish to know who I am, then listen to the silence between the notes.

Sounds Like: You tell me-you're going to anyway-I do not classify myself. I simply write howsoever the spirit moves me at the time. Classification is for those who play it safe...I am all about taking risks. So to hell with pigeon-holes!
