About Me

This site is for all the people who have been expressing interest in my work. Due to the problem that I can never get a hold of my web-guy to help me update my regular site: www.zuchowskiart.com I am creating this MY SPACE site as an extension. The blogs you'll be seeing are not my usual piss and moans. Instead they will be concerning my work. If you have any questions about any pieces feel free to leave a message in the inbox for me. I'll be happy to answer. In the future I will be buying one of those "do it yourself website kits" and will be learning from the ground up. So hopefully within a year that will be underway. In the meantime, you can look foward to any new paintings I will be doing. Oh, did I mention? I am working on a children's book. I've already written the story 20 years ago. And after two decades of winning story-telling competitions with it, I have finally decided to sit down. Write it up. Illustrate it. And get it published. Now I don't figure on making a million dolars with it. As a matter of fact I have the feeling with my luck it will go nowhere for quite a while. Then about 10 years after I finally die (and stay that way). Someone will come across it. Turn it into a movie, and it will become a piece of Americana. Of course- I won't be around to enjoy/see any of it. -But thats the way things go right? Well back to this site - please enjoy the images. My Interests

I'm a big fan of Frank Frazetta, The Bothers Hildebrandt, Boris, Heironymous Bosch, and Geiger - As you can see art is a big deal in my life (It's the therapy that holds me together. Every painting you see is one more time I haven't committed suicide). Since the two surgeries a lot of my more enjoyable recreational activities have been either cut back, limited severly or just plain eliminated.>

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in discussing art, other artists,people interested in modeling for future paintings. Anyone creative who likes to discuss thier work. As a matter of fact I will be happy to post your blogs on my site if they are artistic/creative inspired. So feel free to have me advertise your stuff here!

Music:

I can listen to most anything with the exception of country and rap. Most of the stuff I listen to is oldies, classical, punk, metal (in all it's forms),and comedy/parody. When doing a painting - the music is very inspirational while I work. So the right type is important to listen to for each different painting.

Movies:

I have a wide selection of movies. Everything from films from the 20's and 30's to horror, to action, sci-fi, animated and anime, old porn (70's), exploitation flicks, holiday movies, and even independant stuff like Bill Zebub puts out! It all gets used as background noise and imagery while I paint. Oh and if anyone is interested in buying used movies on VHS tape let me know the title you're interested in and I just might have it! Books:

I'm in the process of writing " Dance of the Giants". A children's story I wrote 20 years ago. I will definitly get the story typed up and illustrated this year. And the next step will be getting it published. Till then all paintings(with the exception of the book's illustrations) will cease so I can focus on this project.
