Desperately in need of some St. Johns Wort (thanks 'Spellchecker Guapo') intervenous therepy, I enjoy: missing Hawaii, being alone, drinking by myself, collecting records, collecting Black Panther Party memorabilia, being broke, hating graphic design, feeling insecure about the fact that i will never own many of the records that i want, adding records that i cant afford to my "watching" list on ebay, hating contemporary music, hating people that are "retro," hating things referred to as "vintage," not being cool enough for school, hating northern soul, loving northern soul, ignoring social politics, sleeping on couches, watching biblical docu-dramas (better than your average 'period piece'), hating organized religion, trying to understand why i get friend requests from rock bands, hating rockabilly (doo ba doo ba doo ba doom baaah -- bass line for all rockabilly songs), getting nostalgic about mid-nineties west coast hardcore, a total of 5 people worldwide, graphis design annuals from 1960-1975 er so, crossover soul ... preferably west coast stuff, plate lunches (all rice please), hating mayonaise, hating mod nights, hating blues, hating stax records, hating james brown, loving popular reggae (its an island thing), cooking southern food, eating southern food, being bitter.

Soul Music!, Scrabble, Typography, Collage, Photocopiers, Screenprinting, Jumping Rope, Design Nerd Stuff, Drawing Parties, Spraymounting, Playing Numbers, etc.

Music:

northern soul (love the music, hate the politics), quality rare soul on 7" vinyl...end of story. oh and ive recently taken to collecting 60s reggae records ... always loved the music, just never bothered until recently.

Movies:

pretentious french new wave films, y2k+ made for teen films, But I'm A Cheerleader, The House of Yes, Flirting, obnoxious artist films, films about obnoxious artists.

Television:

Take Home Chef, Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef, Kitchen Nightmares (UK), The F-Word (UK), What Not To Wear, any sort of biblical docu-drama, yep.

Books:

Any and all Milan Kundera. Design nerdiness in book form.

Heroes:

Steve Buscemi's charactor in Ghostworldâ€“the similarities are disturbing.
