Pissed off and proud of it!

About Me

Sometimes I wish I could start over and just be what other people want me to be...maybe then I wouldn't continuously lose the people I've loved in my life.I've been through a lot in my life in such a short time...yet I feel like there's so much more I still need to do. I can be a bit of a stress magnet and a tortured soul, and I've discovered that the people I fall in love with can't handle that. But I love who I am and really wouldn't change a damn thing. I've been a journalist pretty much my entire life...won 20-plus writing awards and have risen through ranks quickly to become en editor of newspapers and magazines. I'm currently editor of a national casino industry publication.I also spent well over a decade in various bands...mostly punk rock, where I met a lot of people who I still consider friends to this day. I'm fascinated by how the world works and by things we don't understand.I'm also a bit of a culture whore and political hound. I keep up with current (and past) events because staying socially aware is even more important in these trying times. I'm a centrist, yet left-leaning Democrat, but that doesn't mean I vote party lines--I've voted for the best candidate regardless of party. I detest nearly all facets of our current president and his entire administration.I'm also an avid sports fan, especially baseball. I am a die-hard New York Mets fan...come hell or high water.Weezer - Pork and Beans
