Eine Franzosin veroffentlicht auf einem osterreichischen Label eine Platte mit dusterem Avantgarde-Chanson-Pop inklusive David-Bowie-Cover, so schon ist Europa. Das Luna Park Hotel konnte denn auch in Amsterdam genaus stehen wie in Marseille. Die Melancholie des Meeres, die gutmutige Grobheit der Matrosen, die resignierte Schonheit der Hafenhuren - all das spricht (fur mich) aus den 11 Stucken, ohen dass auch nur eines einen dirketen Bezug zur See hatte. Tanzbare Beats finden sich auf dieser CD nicht, elektronische Traurigkeit und digitales Strahlen aber zuhauf - das macht sie beinahe unverzichtbar. *****
