About Me

Wormbelly is a five-piece rock band that emerged from Charleston, SC following the collaboration of childhood friends Chris Patterson and Kevin Graham. The band's sophomore album, The Guf, gave them critical acclaim worldwide. The band has been featured in over eighty print and online articles. Songs from The Guf have been played on more than 60 radio stations and have been showcased on MTV shows Sorority Life and Fraternity Life. Additionally, Wormbelly can be found on four compilations, three in the US and one in the UK. Wormbelly has performed throughout the Southeastern US. They've shared the stage with bands such as Soul Asylum, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Saliva, Tonic, and Spacehog.Wormbelly's achievements began in their hometown of Charleston, SC. The Charleston City Paper proclaimed The Guf "Best Local Album" and awarded singer Chris Patterson "Best Male Vocalist/Musician." Jersey Beat fanzine refers to Wormbelly as "a complicated, radio-ready rock band with great production (and) harmonies." Action Attack Helicopter website says, "this disc ... includes so much talent and thought, it is a must have release." Jim Van Slyke of "On CD" writes, "The music on The Guf hails back to the days when albums were albums, not excuses for musicians to write one good song and then wrap 10 or 11 other pitiful songs around the hit and call it an album."Wormbelly's latest project, Ever the Vulture, is evidence of the band's further growth. Ever the Vulture is an fan exclusive EP/DVD that gives a sneak peek of their upcoming full-length. It includes three songs to wet your palate. The tracks range from straightforward rock to awesome instrumentalization and vocalizing. The DVD speaks for itself as it takes you on a 30 minute trip through the heads of these eccentric musicians, encompassing a year and a half of live footage and photographs.Don't forget to see Wormbelly live.
