Yeah, Darla is one hot mama!...lol

About Me

I'm a happily married man of nearly 9 years, and together my sexy wife Darla and I have three really beautiful and intelligent baby girls (Ann-Jolie - 2 yrs, Alexi - 5 yrs, and Alannah - 8 yrs). I also have 3 step children from Darla that I think a lot of as well (Adrina - 26, Brian - 22, and Jonathon - 20)
As far as my interests go there's amateur wrestling (international & collegiate: freestyle and folkstyle ... but you can't argue the clinching skills of a high level greco wrestler either). Then there's MMA, and yes, I am slightly biased toward wrestlers within MMA. I do have a lot of respect for all Mixed Martial Artists, but I guess it's natural for me to be biased towards wrestlers in MMA as I used to wrestle myself. Also, I used to be a really avid boxing fan back in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s as well. Once the King/Arum stench hit the sport though, I grew sick of it rather quickly and exited stage left. I have started to ease my way back into the sport as of late though, and I've got to say that I've seen some excellent fights in the past couple of years.
Note: I'm constantly switching my friend list around in attempts to show support for the wrestlers and MMA fighters on there. If you get dropped down it's definitely nothing personal, and I'll move you back up when you have a match/fight coming up.

My Interests

Freestyle wrestling, collegiate wrestling, realprowrestling (the real stuff, no fake crap for me), MMA, fitness, old school boxing (classic bouts, 70s, 80s, and early 90s) fine dining & wines, old muscle cars, all types of music, & honest, scientifically based paranormal investigations (MH is a joke, and Paranormal State is OK ... but a little too overly dramatic, and self-important for my liking).

I'd like to meet:

In general...

"Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character." - Albert Einstein

"Physical fitness is the basis for all other forms of excellence.' - John F. Kennedy"

Within the sporting world...

"Wrestling's like a poem," says Karelin. "Everybody's reciting the same thing, but each thinks about it differently. How each line or each motion should be interpreted is entirely personal. Perhaps nobody will believe this but a wrestler. Sometimes I have dreams of moves nobody's done before. I awaken and try to master them. Then I go to tournaments and win with that move. Sometimes those dreams are utterly fantastic. Things nobody can do. It was this way with the reverse lift." - Alexander Karelin

"When you finally decide how successful you really want to be, you’ve got to set priorities. Then, each and every day, you’ve got to take care of the top ones. The lower ones may fall behind, but you can’t let the top ones slip. You don’t forget about the lower ones though because they can add up to hurt you. Just take care of the top ones first. In 25 years as a head coach and assistant, I think I might have missed one practice. Why? Because practice is my top priority. A day doesn’t go by when I don’t accomplish something in my family life or my profession because those two things are my top priorities." - Dan Gable

Music:

I'm pretty diverse when it comes to music. I'd have to say that the only genres of music that I absolutely cannot stand are ghetto/hate-whitey rap, soulless rave (the continuously repeating rhythms are annoying as hell), and whiny country. IMO none of the above have any real musical, and or spiritual value, so they're both completely worthless (to me anyway). I do listen to everything else, including old school rap at times, and even some late 90s hip hop (yeah, I'm crazy like that).

Movies:

Frailty, Fallen, Memento, The Shawshank Redemption, To Kill a Mockingbird, Identity, The Sixth Sense, Donnie Darko (yeah, it's known as an EMO movie ... but the story was clever, and the acting was excellent), American History X, The Illusionist, Gladiator, Zodiac, Hard Times, Office Space, Most all Adam Sandler movies, Iron Man actually kicked arse lately, The Incredible Hulk was good, mostly because of Edward Norton's excellent acting .... and errr, more to come!

Television:

When I watch TV it's usually Forensic Files, Psychic Detectives, Psychic Investigators, A Haunting, GH, GHI and various other shows here and there when I actually get the chance to sit down and watch something.

Books:

Haven't read a book in a few years. IMHO, the advent of the internet ruined books for most people...lol

Heroes:

My Dad. He was the most honest & trustworthy person that I've ever met.
