Just to let everyone know...I'm a bit silly. Never take life too seriously. As well; Please don't take anything here to be mean or vindictive. That's not my intention.
I used to work in Animation & Graphics alittle while ago when I lived in Toronto. I also used to do Sketch Comedy, Stand-Up, and Improvisational Comedy (that last one was my favorite). But due to the cut throat competiton and lack of pay it was easy to stick to the day jobs. There use to be the occasional job in Photography (Band Shots, Portraits, Stills for Film & Television, Movie Posters, and Ad shots), although it was fun, it never paid well. In Canada artists never get paid their worth (or so it seems).
I moved back to exotic NB to return to school (college this time), and get a piece of paper (oddly enough in graphics).
I still work on my art. Be it Photography, Cartooning, Animation, Graphics, Storyboards, Conceptual Art, or Fine Art (Realistic or Abstract). Apart from that, there's Martial Arts (I train as well as teach a kids class at the Native Friendship Center in North Bay).
My background is French, Native(Algonkin Tribe), and Okinawan (Southern Japanese)...if you need a colour, light orange (but I'm paler than most of my friends-I hate that, my whole family has colour except me). Plus, I have a red beard .
I'm a bigtime movie buff and will pretty much watch everything, lately though there's been a wave of bad movies with a few good ones here and there, so I've actually turned a few off without ever going back to finish them. Luckily there appears to be a whole slew of good movies coming out more recently.
Oh yeah. I have insomnia big time. It's a great way to get alot of Reading, Movie Watching and Art done (you'll notice alot of the photographs I've taken are done at night).
Right now I practice Yang Style Tai Chi Chaun & Kempo Karate - which is a mixture of Karate and Kung FuWhenever I get a chance, I'm taking pictures. From portraits to landscapes, from film to digital. I love it all.Cartooning is my big thing here, but it's not my limit. For better illustrations I have to work harder and take my time when I draw.In this area Watercolours are my forte. I also love to work with Acyrlic paint, and Cel Vinyl if I ever get the chance.
Have you ever heard of the School of the Laughing Buddha?
You start everyday by laughing (and if you can, you end everyday with a good laugh as well).
Here's a video of a kid that makes me laugh everytime I watch it.
