"the matter with Clark" Synopsis:
Clark Thomas is an astronomy student who is about to embark on the opportunity of a lifetime, a summer long internship at the observatories in Hawaii. Everything seems to be coming together perfectly when an accident changes him and his sisters’ life forever. As a result, they must go and live with their grandmother, who they haven't seen in eleven years, and try to continue on with their lives. Life has to change for Clark, however, he must take care of his sister, and he is forced to give up on his dreams, turn down the offer to go to Hawaii and drop out of school. The realities of life come crashing down on him when he takes a job at a pizzeria and begins to accept what his life will be, part-time work and sleeping on his grandmothers couch. As he settles into his new life he starts spending time with co-worker Jack Cooper and things become a little easier to handle. But, as events unfold and he becomes more absorbed in the life he is leading he again begins to see that there is more out there for him. When it seems nothing is left, a turn of events and astronomical occurrences allow Clark to regain his hope, and a new realization is reached. Through this significant change, the new friends he meets, and the challenges he faces comes “The Matter with Clark”, a dramedy that is sure to capture your hearts.
