BEATMAKIN TROOPA
Since his early years Beatmakin Troopa has always been surrounded by music and different visuals. His father was one of the co founders of the electronic group Inferno 5. In 1998 Troopa bought his first turntable and was one of the trailblazers on the mixtape scene in Iceland. Not long after that he began producing beats on his mpc 2000. A proud member of the Twisted Minds Crew he started to lay down beats for talented rappers like Rain and Mystic. He immediately got peoples attention for crazy drum patterns and novel sounds. Though only 25 years old he has already been part of numerous projects. He produced two lp cassettes for Twisted Minds and made a really weird record with one of the most famous graff writers in Iceland, King Nores, an ep called Alpha Species. He has also been involved in solo projects with Rain and Mystic. Beatmakin Troopa was a skater back in the day and he paid homage to the sport with beats for skate videos. He has also dropped two solo records. First but not least an lp called Peaceful Thinkin, the most popular instumental record ever made in the Icelandic hip hop scene, followed by a dark electro acid ep surprise Visit. ALSO NEW EP WITH RAIN 2007 AND STEREO HYPNOSIS ALBUM PARALLEL ISLANDrotate audible insight nightly describe´s me in most ways I start it rappin when i was 16 years old and since then iv´e been daily active im a song writer for 5 bands and I always try to bring different substance to the table im one of the co founders of the independent label triangle productions im born in lebanon so i try to keep a universal perspective.I have already released 4 projects.First of all with a band called TWISTED MINDS.WE made 2 tapes,CROSSROADS and GARBAGE MUSIC.The group is on hold right now coz alot of other projects are in progress.I also represent HUMAN SUBSTANCE a group that me and INTRO a D.J. PRODUCER from FORGOTTEN LORES.WE made an EP called ETHICS OF THE KINGDOM. Not long after that I released my first solo album EXPERIMENT OF THE DAY that is defintly the record im most proud of a 78 minute long.Like I said before im working on alot of projects and recently I finisht recording 2 albums an LP called THE WORLD TREE BRANCHES OF CEDAR that is produced by BEATMAKIN TROOPA and an EP called COLOR ADDED TO BLANK PAGES.THE mixing,mastering and artwork are currently in progress.If you wonna hear a preview I have updated one song from each record on myspace.WHY NOT ME and WIZE AFTERWARDS.You can also hear songs from ETHICS OF THE KINGDOM and EXPERIMENT OF THE DAY.On further notice I will let yha people know the release dates for my new records.Soon you will also be able to buy all my projects on myspace.
