Work so much these days

About Me

The point I want reach to is to link some music-styles to create something completely new. I spent night by night by feeding my sequenzer with crazy soundscapes an my turntable with old jazzy records to find the way to create something special.

But maybe I start from scratch. I made my first steps in the sphere of remixing. CCMixter.com was a great help to get a little bit more popular. I worked on much remixes. For example for DJ Dolores, Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park or Teru and it was a good step forward. I got some good ratings and I got more popular. But one day remixing wasn’t enough. I want spread the own wings. So first I stopped with remixing and twice I began finding an own Style. But I’m in a period where I devleop and where I enhance my skills day by day. So I didn..t find " the one Style" because there is still a motion and that..s really great. Between these barriers is only the chaos and the intemperance of making music.

I work in a (really) small recording-studio and this place is something like a little nirvana or my secret retreat where I can get away from it all with making music. I think there isn..t a better feeling than rumage thru old vinyl records and find the perfect break or a strange record. Maybe you know that feeling when you begin a new Song. You have a great idea and a hour is like a second because everything is unimportant and only your music is in the foreground. I love these moments.
The NAME:

Maybe you know me as DJ Kryptide. The word "Kryptide" is Latin. It is the hypernym of all these unexplored animals like the the Loch Ness Monster or Big Food

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Download the music as mp3 atKryptide music .com
Influences: I have so much influences. Superficially there is Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Coldcut and DJ Shadow but the influences makes our music lively. So there is Jazz and Blues and Rock and definitely old-school Hip-Hop but really strange things too, like crazy movie scores, samba, classik or even jewish folk-music and the limits are always fusing. So there is a big sound-collage
Sounds Like: the new Style
