What will be your Edward Gorey death?
You will perish of fits. You are used to getting your own way. Everyone loves you. You will die because someone didn't give you everything you want. Get over yourself or this will be your fate.

My Interests

Currently... why do I have this urge to be a can-can dancer?

I'd like to meet:

The little jewelry box I can't seem to find anywhere...

Music:

Currently... NIN and other loud, angry, and semi-mainstream stuff.

Movies:

Currently... CRANK

Television:

"Unplugged" in 1997. Ergo subito, I rely on the kindness of strangers to let me know what is going on in the wonderful technicolor world. However, I am both proud and humbled to admit that I have borrowed the entire first season of "Lost" on DVD from my friend Mari. I'm hooked. Damn. Watch it when I'm in an airplane. Very comforting.
Also, the first season of the new Doctor Who. He's hot. Doctor Who. Yummy.

Books:

Currently... I am alphabetizing our library, so I'm overstimulated by literature.
"The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" - rendered into English verse by Edward Fitzgerald (Illustrations by Edmund Dulac) / Many, but not all, of the libretti created for Verdi, Puccini, and Donizetti / "The Book of Splendor" - Frances Sherwood / "Five Quarters of the Orange" - Joanne Harris / "A Confederacy of Dunces" - John Kennedy Toole / "Swan" - Frances Mayes / "The Shipping News" - E. Annie Proulx / "Possession" - A.S. Byatt / "The Crimson Petal and the White" - Michel Faber / "Memoirs of a Geisha" - Arthur Golden / "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" - Mark Haddon / "Jane Eyre" - Charlotte Bronte / "The Secret Garden" and "A Little Princess" - Frances Hodgson Burnett /and most of all, my beloved first-edition volume of Robert Herrick's Flower Poems

Heroes:

My little brother. My mom. My husband. And everyone who has endured my... eccentricities.
