Mostly I read Sci-fi for fun and other literature passes me by. Nick Caves' "And the ass saw the angel" was pretty excellent, Charles Bukowski's "Women", Martin Amis "London Fields", "The Neverending story" (the more surreal book from which the film was derived) was great. Sci-fi: "A scanner darkly" by Phillip K. Dick, Night's Dawn trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton, anything by Ian Banks is worth a read, Frank Herbert rules, "I am ledgend" by Richard Matheson, anything by John Wyndham, Dan Simmons Hyperion books are fun, William Gibson of course, Neal Stephenson before he went off the rails with "The Baroque Cycle"...
