I Am a 42 year old guitarist, completely self taught, I took my inspiration mainly from Yngwie malmsteen but there is also a bit of richie blackmore and gary moore in there for good measure. I haven't played much in the past two years as my wife and i have been looking after my terminally ill mum and that was a full time 24 hour a day job. My mum passed away on the 16th april this year so im now trying to get back into my playing but its hard coz i've now got to go backwards to go forwards again but i'm gonna get there. I want to produce an album as a tribute to her fight and courage. I love all forms of music as long as its played by good musicians but i will always have a soft spot for neo classical metal as i love the form and flow of the music plus the link from the past to the present. I used to teach which gave me a lot of pleasure but it seemed to take over and not give me enough time for my own stuff. Above all else i value friendship as one true friend is worth a million bad ones. I think music should touch your heart, stir your imagination and fill your soul.
