I am here for Friends

About Me

My AIM name is WickedAle83. Feel free to randomly message away. Also, I have a shy bladder. If I hear a fruit fly while I'm peeing, I clam up. It's not a mental thing. My bladder is just really bashful. What else?I was obsessed with yo-yoing the summer I turned 16. I saw that the Smothers Brothers were really good at it and I figured it was pretty hip. I was dead wrong. However, I can do a really mean wrist flick. That's all you need in life anyway...a mean ol' wrist flick.Though I don't like to discuss my Irish-Catholicism, I do think that this comedian has a pretty good grasp on the daily guilt that comes with that sort of upbringing. Anyway, Dylan Moran is hilarious:

My Interests

I'm interested in talking about me. Please do so, positively and frequently.

I'd like to meet:

Kevin Spacey. He's not my favorite actor or anything, but I just have this strange feeling that we only need to meet and then we'd be the very best of friends. Oh, and Betty White. Wait, do you mean on this thing? Hm. People with stories to tell, I suppose.

Music:

Bumbles the Clown, The Receipts, Mrs. Glove and the Middle Fingers, Comrades and You, Captain Seaweed III, Kicking Airplane Soldier, Most Valuable Primate, Button - Button - Who Stole The Button?, The Softball Trophies, The Retractable Pens, Goofus and Gallant, What's Another Word For Thesaurus?, Figtrees in April, and The Book of Mighty

Movies:

Old ones.

Television:

The Office (BBC version...though I'm learning to like the 2nd and 3rd seasons of the American one).

Books:

We could be here forever.

Heroes:

Henry Miller and Obi Wan Kenobi.

I'm a citizen of the Procrasti nation.

This summer has been no good. Aside from Katie and Johnny's wedding, it has been boring and depressing. I don't want to write about the sorry state of my mental health, though, so let's move on. I th...

Are you there God? It's me, Unfortunate Erin.

I hate my new hair cut.  I'm soooo sorry, Katie.  But I look like Prince Charming's valet.  So, all of you who know me in the real, physical world...when you see me, just don't talk abo...

This will answer those questions you've been having.

"The science of blushingWhen you're caught ashamed or in an awkward position, your body releases a bit of adrenaline. Your heart rate goes up. You breathe faster. And often, blood vessels that deliver...

Snow Matter

Though I have a million school-related things to do, I have decided to "blog it up" for the moment: I left work rather late last night.  Lauren and I shopped around after we clocked out at six.&n...

U-Rhineland

My pee smells like coffee.  It's getting so bad that I can discern the type of coffee I had a few hours before urinating.  I think I have a problem.  Why do I tell all of you, my devot...

Don't even waste your time with this.

Has anyone ever seen the Ben Stiller Show?  I saw a few episodes last night at Katie and Bungalow's bungalow.  Lord-eeeee.  Not only did the Counting with Bruce Springsteen make me laug...

Response to a Mistake

Come gather round, my uglies.  Tear out your hair and smear your faces -- the lot of you.  I embrace you all and hold you in my weak and embittered arms.  You who are befouled of mind a...

I'm here for the Funk Revolution...but they won't let me fight.

What I've Learned Today: If your laundry room smells like must and mildew, flat-drying your clothes there will make them pick up that same smell.  I have to live with this until eight o'clock ton...

Driving Thoughts

Ah, yes.  The beautiful thoughts one has while driving.  Here are some that I had today: On the way to Carroll Comm. (to return an overdue library book), I saw a man on his ten-speed bicycle...
