About Me

I'm a 24 year old sailor deployed to Iraq, having a kick ass time enjoying life everyday to its fullest, learning some arabic, going to college part time, making connections and trying to set myself up for the bright future I know I'm gonna have. I grew up in a small town outside of Baltimore Maryland, in a sort of rural->surburban transition area, which I think has made me pretty grounded but not in some provincial kind of way. I like politics, some sports, good conversation, expensive food, dark beer and red wine. Writing and reading, music and film, pretty much whatever it is, I'd probably be into at least trying it, so much more to say, but hey, this is a myspace profile and I'm not even sure how many people will take 30 seconds to read this anyway...

My Interests

Pretty much anything. For me, anything is interesting put in the proper perspective and light, just depends on my mood, who I am with and what is going on in my life at that time. I shift my opinions on things alot. Ask me again later, I'll give you a different answer. (or maybe just oppose whatever you think for the fun of it)..

Music:

If I drove across the country I think the Great Plains would be a good place to listen to country and folk, the fast highways a good place to listen to some electro, the early morning a swell time for some classical music, and the late night a prime example of when one should listen to hiphop. But really it's all about your mood, or the mood you're trying to create, I like all music and all genres. (and so should you)..

Movies:

Movies that make me wanna go out and make me flip cars over, Movies that scare the bejesus outta me, Movies that make me cry from laugher, Movies that make me think. Movies that make me not think. Movies that make me want to change how i live my life. Movies that last for than 2 hours. Movies that are on youtube that last 30 seconds. Movies that are on xtube that last more than 30 seconds. Movies that I'm told to like. Movies that they want to ban. Film...

Television:

History, Discovery, News, Crappy top 20 shows, Twilight Zone and Twighlight Zonesque shows, Comedies (but not usually family ones), Liberal-Media monoliths. Youtube? Shows on Fox news that make me want to strangle people. Post Apocalyptic Humor. Sexy Girls doing sexy things (it's true) Smart humor, Overly dramatic acting. Watching other people over dramatize their supposedly "real-life" problems...

Books:

Long Books, Short Books, Literature, Comedies, Social Commentary, Social Satire, Social Upheaval, Socialist, Fantastical, Politics, Deconstructionalist, Orwellian, or better yet Wilde-like books. Hmm yeah i love Oscar Wilde. I wish i were as smart and clever as that chap - minus the whole dying in a gutter after being exiled or whatever the hell happened to his arse...

Heroes:

My Mom who I'll love forever and cannot thank enough for her kindness and understanding. My Dad who I"ll love forever and cannot thank enough for always being up front and honest with me. Michelle (my sis) who I'll love forever for always being my rock and person i can lean on whenever i feel down or can talk to about what i am excited about April (my sis) who I'll love forever for always knowing that if i ever need anything , anything at all she'll be the first to drop everything and be there for me. ..
