I am here for Friends

About Me

I love music and mountain bikes (downhill particularly) and used to race DH several years ago. I spend much of my hard earned cash going to music gigs in the UK and on occasions abroad. I'm open to all genres, however my favourite is Americana and Country before country got bad.

I like what I like and am not ashamed of not conforming to the 'norm'. What is normal afterall? I do not like to be dictated by the media & society about what I should and should not like or do. I have my own mind.

I like to hang out with interesting people and while many hours away over a fine pint or few of ale.

The window of life

Drive

I was on my way to work this morning and was stuck behind a Mitsubishi Colt, not a very attractive car, small and box-like.  This particular car was black and far too shiny for a car heading up t...

Dreamer

I slept for maybe 15 minutes last night and was then surfing the waves of night-time until about 3am.  When you are surrounded by duvet instead of ale it is a very lonely place to be surfing.&nbs...

Happy Hens

I always buy free range eggs.  I can never understand why people buy eggs that the packet clearly states are from caged hens.  I would rather be eggless than support that.  I have ...

Spaghetti musicians

I had the most bizarre dream last night.  I dreamt that I was in this shop (I suspect it might even have been a garden centre for some strange reason) and there was a whole shelf of Everly Brothe...

I've been lonely before

I've been listening to Madeleine Peyroux's 'I'm alright' a lot over the last 24 hours and i think i am starting to relate to it.  Not sure if that is a scary thing or not.  'I'm alright, i'v...
