Music has always been my life from George Formby through to Chuck Berry in primary school. Brought up on the Beatles, Steel eye span, Jefferson airplane, Bread, James Taylor, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Byrds, Bob Dylan, Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young etc.Music I found for myself whilst growing up was in no particular order The Damned, Pyschedelic Furs, Buzzcocks (mainly with Devoto), Magazine, The Cure (only singles after 17 seconds), Adam and the Ants (Dirk and Kings) XTC, Gang of four, The Grids, The Ruts, Penetration, The Blue Orchids, Wire, The Chameleons, The Sun and the moon, Weaveworld, Music for Aboringines. I could go on for ever but these are the main ones.Bands I've been in 'Strangeways' with Ben Denton on guitar, Andy Jones on bass, Shane Williams on drums, me on vocals.'Pre-Occupational Hazard' almost the same line up but with super duper drummer Gra (Graeme Martin) both Gra and I were replaced in this band.'The Subversives' Woodsy on vocals, me on guitar and vocals, Ben Denton on guitar (that's right he came with me) Big Dunc on drums and Bushell on bass (he went on to form 'Bomb Disneyland')'The Fold' the last of my school bands with me on vocals and guitar, Dava Roberts on bass and backing vocals and Shane Williams on drums and backing vocals. This is the only band that I ever accepted a record contract with. Unfortunately they went bankcrupt.'Insight' Mark Allen bass, me guitar, Peter Banks on drums, Gill Macpherson vocals.'Paradox Prison' me on vocals and 2nd guitar, Gary Jones on bass, Mervyn Lovell on guitar, Gordon 'Hoggy' Williams ..boards, Timmy 'Bean' Davis on drums (formerly of The Grids), and harmonising on A love stands alone Peter 'Snowy' Curtis.'Baby Milk Plant' 1990 - 1992 me on bass and backing vocals, Chris Carus vocals and 2nd guitar, Martin Williams on guitar, Andy Williams on drums (I got usurped).'Mad Michael' me on vocals and 2nd guitar, Brent Madden on guitar, Me on bass, Dave the kiwi Hughes on drums.'Pillgrim' me on vocals and 2nd guitar, Brent Madden on guitar, Gary Jones on bass, Ste Lee on drums and backing vocals.'Manna machine' me on vocals and guitar, Gary Jones on bass, Tony Neri ..boards and vocals, Ste Lee on drums later to be replaced by Stu Clarke.Currently playing folk rock in Cuthrol mainly covers for now but with some original material.
